Ralis shrugged, "I was raised to be strong for my peoples sake..." he winced after saying it.

She raised an eyebrow curiously but said nothing about it "Everyone has differnt setting that their raised in" she said shrugging lightly sitting on one of the beds.
-
Ralis nodded but said nothing, "we should prepare ourselves for tomorrow. Guards will be all over this place soon enough, and we'll need an alibi that'll keel em at bay."
-
"Yeah I counted about eight in the street but they seemed laid back and didn't really pay much attention" she said simply "So they haven't yet really stopped checking the jungle quite yet but we do need a cover" she agreed.
-
Ralis looked out the window thoughtfully, "there's our alibi..." he muttered. Then he turned to his bed and flopped down in it, "we should sleep." Was all he said.
-
"Okay see ya in the morning" she said laying down and turning the other direction she wondered momentarily what had made him depressed. But after short moment she was asleep sleeping quietly not making much noise anymore.
-
It was the middle of the night, or so Ralis guessed by the height of the moon, when he woke up sweaty and panting from a nightmare. He looked to see if he'd woken Emily before going to the window and watching for guards; simply to keep his mind busy.
-
She heard the slight creaking of the floorboards. She woke up after a couple seconds she was slightly groggy as she sat up looking at him sitting out by the window. She tilted her head knowing something was up "You okay?" Emily asked in between yawns.
-
Ralis didn't look at her, "yes I'm just keeping a lookout." He clipped.
-
"Okay if your sure" she yawned tilting her head she could tell that wasn't the whole story "I'm not going to quite pestering you until you tell me" she said yawning lightly twitching her tail tip. She laid back down falling asleep almost instantly.
-
Ralis chuckled, "yeah you put up one heck of a fight there." He mumbled. The following morning, Ralis woke up sitting the window sill with his head leaning against the glass, creating an almost childish facial expression.
-
Emily woke up and he was still at the window. She yawned lightly stretching standing up and looking over at him shrugging lightly.
-
"Morning." He said, as he lowered himself from the windowsill, "oh!" His face lit up and he picked up what appeared to be a large white gown, the style.obviously foreign, "you'll need to wear this if we're to slip past the guards."
-
She jumped back at his sudden burst of energy. She studied him for a minute looking down at what he was holding "And how will that help?" She questioned raising an eyebrow.
-
Ralis smiled, "I was up all night sewing the curtains and bedsheets and... sewing an important survival skill where I come from." He clipped defensively, "anyways. In the islands to the east a woman wears this gown when she's failed to deliver a child."
-
She looked at him like he had lost it, examining the gown "Okay I got that but how will it help in this situation?" She asked confused she didn't really feel indifferent about him seeing everyone has a hobby. She flicked her tail slightly.
-
Ralis's face glazed over with a light irritation, "what self respecting guard would pester a couple in mourning?"
-
She sighed rolling her eyes "Okay but this is the last time you pick out my outfit" she said taking it from him "Now get out" she said quickly.
-
Ralis chuckled, "aw, you don't want to change with me?" He teased, before walking out of the room.
-
"No thanks Tarzan" she said rolling her eyes. She quickly change and outside blowing some hair out of her face "Okay I'm all changed."
