"for God's sake, shut the Hell up!" the Doctor yelled, knitting his eyebrows together in a glare. "alright, Crystal, can you knock three times?" he asked, digging through a jacket pocket. he then carefully extracted a small key hanging on a black thread. "I still have it! allons-y, Alonso!" he yelled, and ripped the key off the thread. instantaneously, several things occurred. the thread exploded, a loud GROAN sounded at the door of the compartment, and the key flew up, twisted itself, and the blurry outline of a police box took shape. "glad that worked," the time-lord stated plainly, exhaling sharply. then he looked over at the door and strutted haphazardly over to the door. "now, what do you want?" he knocked on the door twice, and a few moments of silence passed before it knocked back. "I've dealt with you before. now.... erm...." he trailed off, straining to remember what had happened the last time he'd met this alien. "c'mon, then!" the Doctor shouted, abandoning the attempt prior to this one.

the Doctor looked oddly at Crystal for a second, then looked back at the other passengers who were chattering quietly amongst themselves. "everyone, gather here! move up in seats toward the door. no seat empty!" he ordered, picking up the broken Sonic quickly. once the TARDIS materialized fully, he, well, the TARDIS, could fix it.
