    Zodiackit watched with interest as Lacewing applied the herbs to the tom. Little did she know she was being stalked, by a kit Splashkit. The orange splotched tabby kit carefully put one paw after the other his face serious his tail was lifted to avoid any noises.


    He bunched his muscles and leaped he lined up his paws, landing right onto Zodiackit's back.


    "Spalshkit!" She gasped. She tumbled along with Splashkit forward. Zodiackit attempted to stop to prevent bumping into anyone but Splashkit being a bit larger than her. His weight made them go farther than than expected. They finally released themselfs from the squirming ball of fur. She jumped back her back arched "Splashkit! You dumb furball why'd you do that!!" She hissed. Splashkit was always the one to keep trying to engage her into games. The tabby kit meowed "I need to practice on some cat! I would try the warriors but they all noticed before I got to them. Im gonna be the best leader Purpleclan's ever seen!You can be my deputy if you want to!"


    Zodiackit shook her head "I don't want to be deputy!"

    The medicine cat raised an eyebrow at Splashkit and Zodiackit. She would have to have a word with Obsidianstar. Zodiackit didn't want to be a deputy, not even a warrior. Lacewing made a mental note to ask Obsidianstar to have Zodiackit's apprentice ceremony soon. She was growing older, and needed a mentor. No wonder Zodiackit had an interest in herbs, and the flash of silver spotted tabby across her paws. She was going to become the next medicine cat!



    Capricorn stared in wonder at the two kits that stumbled into the medicine cat's den. As Splashkit jumped Zodiackit, he felt a deep protection come over him, and he rose to his paws. Lacewing was done with him, so he moved closer to the kits. "Maybe she doesn't want to do that," he murmured in his deep voice, "You could leave her alone." The tom's eyes warmed when they stopped at Zodiackit, then froze when stopping on Splashkit. Capricorn's neck fur rose slightly, and he ground his teeth together. Why was he so protective? He didn't even know this kit, but he already had affection for her!

    Splashkit looked up at the rather large tom, his eyes widened. He backed away from the tom. "Oh... Breezewhisker said to go back to the nursery...Uh bye Lacewing" he mewed. With that he scrambled away towards the nursery.


    Zodiackit looked up at the tom with surprise, her head turned back to Lacewing. She stood to her paws and backed away. " Lacewing what did you use for his wound? Before I go" She looked back over her shoulder to the nursery.

    Silverheart nodded hesitantly and lead the way out of camp, to a secluded part of the territory, and after making sure they were completely alone, she sat down, neatly curling her tail over her paws, "Well.." She began, looking down at her paws, and then straight into Obsidianstars violet eyes, "I am pregnant."

    Obsidianstar laid down looking up at his mate,her beauty over came him and he rose to his paws and kissed her very affectionately. He hasn't kissed her in so long.Then he remembered why he chose her to be deputy, she was so loyal to the clan, she treated every single person with so much love and she gave up as much to kill her own father for the love of her clan. There was no questioning her loyalty and after a couple moons he began to like her until finally he asked her to be his mate. Then he looked down at her soft stomach, was she pregnant? he thought. Then he got excited and worked up , and he kissed her more affectionately.

    Lacewing laughed happily. "Goldenrod and dock, Zodiackit. Now get back to your mother, and Splashkit. He seemed to be scared by our visitor!" Scoffing, the she-cat turned to Capricorn, who was busy staring at Zodiackit. "Knock knock? Anyone home?"



    Capricorn glanced after Splashkit, then his face broke into a grin. He shifted his eyes down to Zodiackit, still grinning. He noted her soft silver fur, beautiful golden eyes the color of the sun.......... Lacewing snapped him out of his reverie. 'Huh? Yeah. I'm here. Whaddya need, I should leave now." The orange and white tom shifted his paws uneasily.

    Ic: "Ok!" She meowed. Zodiackit turned around trotting towards the nursery. Her tail lifted high and disappeared into the nursery entrance. She walked over to Splashkit who was sitting on his nest flicking his tail. She purred "What are you waiting for? Aren't ya gonna start poking and bothering me? Did that tom scare you?" She teased. Splashkit scowled at her "No!"

    BIC: Silverheart's eyes grew wide with surprise. When was the last time they had kissed? It seemed that the two of them had many duties, and she couldnt remember the last time they had sat down and had a nice talk. She kissed him back, and smiled. this was how it should be, and any doubts of the Clan faded.

The next day the rain pouring outside his den made a rhythmic banging on his den. His head rested on his paws, he finally felt like a great leader because he hunted a lot and the whole clan was well and the whole clan was full and fed, the Deputy would be expecting kits and he would be their father.

    Zodiackit woke up and heard the rain pouring outside. I hate rain! she thought. Her eyes were fixed on the middle if the camp. She could feel the cold winds blowing in she shivered as her short pelt offering little protection. Zodiackit pressed into Breezewhisker's long warm coat. Why couldn't I have a long coat! Her teeth was chattering.

    Obsidianstar waited untill the rain settled down and he walked outside his den, seaweed-like curtains hanging from his den. He steps out on to the wet cold water blanketing the soft forest grass. He climbed on top of the Highrock overlooking his camp his black pelt fur long at his neck hanging and waving like the branches of the trees around, breathing in and looking over the beautiful flowers that give the word to Purpleclan, he roars loud and clear. He sense fear rising through the camp as heads of kits poke out of the den in alarm and others hissing ready in position for battle. His Violet and Emerald eyes shining like priceless gold as the sun rays shine on them.
