He looked at the pile of food. There were a couple of sweet roll snack cakes. "You should try one of these." he said taking one for himself. "They are pretty good."

She looked at the weird cake and took one nibbling on it then smiled eating, #I guess your right...these are good...#

He smiled lightly, happy to see a smile lightly spread across her face. He finished his cake in a few bites...savoring the sweet yet buttery taste.

She finished it then ate a berry, #What is this world like...Alex...do you think I will find my place in it...?# she asked sounding a bit saddened.

"Everyone has a place." he replied. "You just have to find it." He smiled before looking off to the cave entrance. "And I'll help you find that place...no matter how long it takes." He then blushed when he realized he said that last sentence aloud.

She blushed lightly and looked at him then shook it off and got closer by the fire...

He just blushed and hid his face. He felt so embarrassed. Here was this powerful Pokemon before him that could easily kill him with just a glance and here he was talking to her like she was some common human. He even felt a little scared.

She faintly smiled enjoying his affection a bit but played with the fire by catching a stick on fire.

"I'll be right back." he replied. "I'm gonna step right outside to get some fresh air."

#Alright...# she said looking at him and watching leave the cave.

He stepped outside and took a deep breath of the fresh evening air. He needed this before he made a fool of himself in front of someone so powerful. "What am I talking about...I already have....on several occasions." he said lightly to himself.

Mewtwo sighed and laid down deciding on taking a nap for a bit. She finally relaxed and slept peacefully.

After a few moments, he reentered the cave and saw that she was sleeping. He pulled a blanket from his pack and gently covered her with it before he retreated to the fire where he kept watch while she slept peacefully.

She smiled and kept sleeping...after an hour or two she finally woke up yawning. Then looked around then at Alex.

"Have a good nap?" he asked when she woke up and looked at him.

#Ya I did...best sleep i ever had in...5 years...# she said trembling remembering the horrible things team rocket did to her.

He noticed her trembling and slowly slid over next to her. Hoping he wasn't about to cross a boundary and make a big mistake, he gently placed his arm around her in an attempt to help her feel better.

She flinched and looked at him, then for the first time she hugged him wanting to be comforted.

He was surprised by her reaction. Finally, he wrapped his arms around her in a hug and held her in a comforting embrace.

She blushed a little and hugged him tight. She thought this was a bit embarrassing but also comforting.
