[font=comic sans ms]Coryinoa was sprawled out on a sun-warmed rock. The sun was barely visible above the rocky mountains she had crossed five sunrises before. The tortoiseshell she-cat watched in awe as the sun set, scrambling up an oak, it's thick limbs already bare from the approaching cold weather. The stealthy she-cat climbed higher and higher until the branches could no longer support her enough. The young she-cat purred with delight when the sun finally disappeared from her vision. As she started to jump down, branch to branch, she heard a loud yowl. Frightened, she abruptly stopped in her tracks, clinging to the branch with her long claws. A branch that she had bent back suddenly struck her face. She yowled in agony.
"Who's up there?" a tom called from the ground. She couldn't detect what group he was from.
"Coryinoa, a loner." she called out from the branches. She felt her face with her delicate white paw. When she pulled it away, she saw it was red with blood. Suddenly the tree shook. The tom was coming up. He quickly reached the injured she-cat.
