  • What would it be like, to be lost, no pack to call home, not a single familiar place, and to be on a journey to a place that might not even be there?

Red, a beautiful bright russet/red she-wolf has no clue where she is, or where she belongs. She has no territory to call home and doesn't have a single companion, leaving her to hunt for herself. However, she has heard plenty of rumors about a far away place, in the direction of the setting sun, that contains a prey-plentiful paridise. Nobody knows if the place truely exisits, for anywolf who has attempted to find the place has never returned. Either they found the dream forest, died trying, or are still traveling. Now, no wolf dares to go searching. No wolf, except Red, who is determind to challenge these odds, and make it there, alive. Anybody is free to join in, just make sure to give a suitible amount of information about their wolf/wolves their rping. Enjoy!

    Red~
Red woke up right as the sun broke the horizon. However, it wasn't because of the sudden light. It was because of habit. Ever since she began this journey, she always awoke right at the break of dawn to start moving. As long as the sun was visible, she was travelling. Though when the sun was at it's highest she'd have to slow down to make sure she didn't lose her sense of direction. She was currently in a large valley surronds by mountains. Raising her headshe searched for the sun. It was to her right. She immeadiatly turned the other way. If the sun was rising over there, then it must set over here. She started padding off, eyes fixed on the distance.

  • Suddenly there was a rustling, and then a growling. Red's eyes widened in terror. This was no wolf. It was a fully grown male grizzly, and it looked like she had ventured into it's territory. With a yelp she raced off, still going the opposite from the rising sun. Looking behind her, she gave a bark of horror. The bear was barely a tail-length from her. Oh no, oh no, oh no... She could only hear the thumping of the bear's, and her own, paws over her rapidly beating heart. She breathing quickly she realized there was only one way to get out of this alive. Oh great Star-wolves... She whipped around and snarling, lunged for the bears throat. Caught of guard, the bear wasn't able to move out of the way, Red's teeth were already deep in the soft flesh when the bear reared. Roaring, the bear tried to shake off the wolf. Just a little longer... Then, she gave a violent shake, and the bear's furious roars turned into roars of pain. She let go and dropped to the ground. Oh please let him be injured enough... I don't like killing but... I don't think this bear would mind killing me. She backed away as the bear collasped onto all fours. As much as the bear roared and growled, Red knew he wasn't going to go after her now. He was too weak, and he was dying. She ran off before the bear could change it's mind. Oh... that was soo close... I must've been crazy, taking on a fully grown male all by myself, but... there really wasn't a choice. Wow... I can't believe I did it... Red began to slow down to a trot as the bear's roars faded into the distance. I can't believe I made it alive... She collasped onto her side. As much as she wanted to continue, she had to take a rest. I hope that grizzly died. I mean, no, I never would wish death on anything, but... honestly... he asked for it. Besides... if he does survive, I'll be dead by tommorow...

  • Red woke up an hour before moonhigh. Struggling to her paws she lifted her head to smell for any prey. She caught the scent of an injured young buck. I could do with a good meal. The buck wasn't far, grazing in a nearby meadow. She sneaked up behind the deer, looking for where to attack. The flank seemed like a good spot. She circled the deer till she was a wolf-length from the buck's hooves. She waited for the wind to calm and for the deer to feel at ease. After ten minutes, she finally lunged she attempted to knock over the buck but it had moved out of the way. Snarling, she raced after it.

  • Though the buck was limping greatly, it didn't slow down. Frusterated, she couldn't seem to get close enough to pull down the buck. Come on... I can't lose it now! Leaping forward her teeth met the buck's leg. She immeadiatly stopped so the buck tripped. Using her agility she quickly rounded the deer and gave the killing bite. Finally! She dragged the deer into a shadey spot then began eating.

Red glanced around nervously. Something wasn't right. Things were getting too quiet... She lifted her head from her meal and looked around more thoroughly. Nobody seemed to be around, but the lack of birdsong and squirrels was unsettleing. Somebody's here... I know it...

  • A large jet black male, with eyes the color of the leaves off of spring trees. He dominated tho territory, being the only obstacle between any wolf and paradise. He was the labeled the "Keeper Of Hell's Gate." No one could get into paradise without him. And no one would get in. He looked up, scenting someone on his land. Severen snarled, stalking straight towards the source. He was larger than any average wolf and larger than even the biggest wolf in the world. No male could match his size because he wasn't normal. He jumped straight in front of Red, a snarl on his lips.

Ooc;; just wanna say that it's not possible for any wolf to kill a bear. It's not possible because they have a lot of fat and fur and there would be no getting to its neck in the first place. And not even a whole pack can kill a largesse grizzly bear. Just wanted to say that because lots of people have gotten on my nerves doing that. But my you starzy ^^ I understand if it was a mistake.

  • (Well, the bear could maybe not be dead, but it could be injured greatly.)

Red looked up at the wolf in surprise. Maybe this is why nobody's returned, he's huge! But then again, she had just escaped a grizzly alive.
"What do you want?" she snarled, standing over her deer.

  • [align=center][font=georgia][size=8][color=white]Ooc;; well not even that. See, one wolf cannot injures large male bear in any way. As I said with all the fur, their teeth would not male any purchase. Greatly injuring a bear is in no can possible. Maybe a small scratch that will set the bear back, not nothing more. Sorry I'm just a really weird freak DX No wonder why no one on school likes me :l

Moving on, maybe Red should develop a crush on Severn. Then maybe after a while, she can try to get him to help her get to paradise and then maybe fail in love with him? And after a while, he develops feeling and soon starts to return them.

Severn snarled, his fur bristling. "You are encroaching on my territory. You need to leave now or I'll kill you. Or I can just take you hostage. I rather not kill a femme. But no one may pass the mountain range. Choose wisely normal," He said darkly. His claws dug into the ground, as he refused himself or this stranger to make an attack. He glared at her, his eyes showing nothing to her. He had always been like this, an angry beast, hateful of everyone who thought that everything was better in paradise. The place where his true love does. He now forbid anyone from entering, killing those who fought back. The paradise was where all his memories were and Severn did want anybody else going to his special place. He was just simply a scarred soul.

  • Red's eyes narrow, "I'm only passing through, you can have the deer, I'm sorry to trespass, honest." she barked, nudgeing the dear towards the male. Though she was still hungry she was eating on his territory, it'd be rude to keep it to herself.

  • [align=center][font=georgia][size=8][color=white]Severn snorted, blocking Red's way. "You didn't quite understand. I'm not letting you get to paradise. No one goes there," He snapped angrily. His eyes blazed threatingly as he challenged her to go against him. His tail lashed back and forth, his ears flattening against his skull.

    Ooc;; sorry. Low muse.

  • She returned his ferice pose with a menacing glare, "And why is that?" her voice had a deadly edge to it.

  • [align=center][font=georgia][size=8][color=white]Severn snorted, flicking an ear in annoyance. "Its none of your business. I am the Keeper of Hell's Gate. No one will ever get into paradise. Not ever. I'll never let anyone get there. Not even you she-wolf. And it's none of your concern why. Now get out before I kill you," He snapped angrily. Why was she so persistent? Severn hadn't seen one like her. Most of them tried to fight immediately and he killed him. But all of these wolves had been arrogant and stupid. This she-wolf, however, wasn't like that. She seemed determined. Like his mate... But Severn shook off the though, thinking that he couldn't allow her in the place which means most to him. He just couldn't. He would never allow it. And besides, she wouldn't be able to get there without his help. There was no way she would be able to kill or negotiate with the guardian's of the mountain pass.

  • Red lifted her head high. I'm not going to bow down to this wolf. But I'm not going to be foolish enough to fight him either. "Are you sure? From the sound of it, you've been to paradise. Or how would you know it exsists?" she growled. "And you are not going the scare me away like some omega. I will not scurry away like a terrified pup. Paradise could be the only thing that could make my life worth fighting for, and I will not run from it."

  • [align=center][font=georgia][size=8][color=white]That was it. Severn lunged forward, faster than the speed of light. His patience had snapped and he was never going to help her get past the beast that could kill her with a flock of their scaly tails. She would die right here for questioning him and not heeding his warnings. He had frown tired of her pestering questions. I would drag her to the Dragon s and make her see that even then, she couldn't get in. They only would let me in. I would show her. And then, even if she begged me, Wouldn't help her.

  • Red snarled and lept high into the air. Her biggest talent was her increadibly strong legs, allowing her to leap extremely high and far. "You could kill me, but what kind of wolf would that make you? Wolves fight, yes, they were born with teeth for a reason. But they fight to protect, not to kill, not to murder, not because someone has gotten on your last nerve. Only to protect the land they proclaim is theirs. Or do you claim paradise as your's only?" She growled. "I'm not pitiful enough to run when I can fight, but I'm not foolish enough to fight when there is still no good reason to." she barked, tail rather high, and ears up.

  • [align=center][font=georgia][size=8][color=white]His eyes narrowed, growing more cold by the minute. Then finally, he gave a scoff of anger. "Yes. I claim paradise as my own land. And I'm not giving it up. And there's no way you'll even get there without my help. That following the sunlight thing is stupidness. It won't get you anywhere. And I'm not ever going to show it so so you're wasting your time. Now get off my land before I kill you," He said. His fur still bristled but he was still annoyed at this impudent she-wolf. She needed to learn when to leave things be. And she needed to stop digging deeper before she got herself in a mess she couldn't dig herself out of.
