Snowtalon sailed in. Landing on a branch. She waited, perched, for her mate.

After finding Snowtalon's trail, Sharptalon landed beside her. He said, "Good day for hunting.. want to have a competition?" The winters had been harsh, and he thought they needed a break from all the worry from the Hollow and their flock.

Snowtalon smiled and shook her feathers then smoothed them down again. Loosening her wing muscles. "That sounds great," she hooed.

Naturally relying on sound than sight. Snowtalon sat quietly until she heard the slight rustle of dead leaves. In a quick, and quiet, burst of movement, the snowy owl took off in a dive. White wings with black speckles stretched out. The prey didn't even knew what was coming. Outstretching her talons, she hit the back of the mouse's plump side and killed it instantly. Flying back to her mate with the prize.

Eaglefighter dove onto a branch as he listened to the mouse squeal and smiled as he gave a warning hoot to her hoping to not startle her.

moonbeak sailed over snowtalon and eaglefighter and alighted on a branch nearby, ears and eyes open for any movement. out of the corner of her eye, she saw a squirrel running up a tree. So moonbeak lifted off the branch on silent wings and flew above the paused squirrel, then dove down, clasping the fat morsel in her talons.

Snowtalon sat perched next to Sharptalon. One of her set of talons held the plump mouse to the branch. Her ice blue eyes spotted the apprentice. "Share then observe?" she asked.

Sharptalon nodded. He ruffled his feathers in embarrassment and cooed, "I was a feather away from catching a vole.. I swear, it disappeared into no where!" He chuckled, knowing that was a lie.

Snowtalon grinned and leaned her beak into Sharptalon's feathers. "I tell owls you caught it," she teased warmly.

Ic- Moonbeak placed her squirrel in a nook between the branch and the trunk and turned to her mentor . " Eaglefighter, is there anything specific you want me to try and catch?"

He looked depressed as he remembered his parents last words to him: "You sorry piece of feather. I can't believe we had you as a son!" Eaglefighter wanted to run from that memory but it was impossible. His parents actions and words forever imbedded in his mind.[/fancypost]
