"The hospital? Okay..." She said, hanging up. A few minutes later, she walked in the door and looked at Austin. She saw a figure on the bed and blinked, then realized who it was. "Holy shot! Isatu!" She ran to my side and looked down at me then broke down crying. "What happened?" She asked Austin.

Brady hugged Austin and I was instantly jealous. I didn't want anyone to touch Austin. He's my boyfriend. If I could even call him that. It dawned on my how stupid all this was. I was in the hospital because of a few burns. I stopped crying and stared at the ceiling, my eyes half lidded. I hurt so bad... I was so tired. I just want to go to sleep and never wake up. My eyes closed and I fell asleep to the slow, rhythmic sound of the EKG machine and Austins sobs.

"He'll be fine. He's a tough son of a bitch." Brady laughed, ruffling Austin's hair. "Just wait. Things'll get better." She smiled. The nurse called the both out so they could change the iv bags and check the machines, telling them that they could come back tomorrow.

the nurse leaned over my bed and checked the EKG machined, feeling my pulse and humming in thought. "You really are a lucky son of a bitch..." She muttered, lifting up the blanket and checking the bandaged on my stomach. The wound on my stomach stretched from the end of my ribcage to my navel and cut all the way through me, leaving a large hole in my gut. They patched it up as best as they could, sowing up all my organs and even replacing some of them like my stomach and gallbladder and one of mylungs. The shrapnel from the glass made smaller cuts all over my body, including on my face and arms. My ribcage had been shattered to the point where it was almost unfixable. I really am lucky...

Brady came down the steps and frowned. "Still not eating?" She asked before sighing and sitting down. She looked at Austin and her heart was crushed. Ever since the accident, Austin hasn't gone near Isatu in months. He hasn't been able to, what with school and surgery for the russian. It was truly a miracle that Isatu ever survived. Brady sighed and retreated back to her room, closing the door quietly.

I straighter. The jacket over my chest plate and took a deep breath. Everything had to be perfect. I took another look in the mirror and walked out of the hospital. It's been four months. Four months since I've seen Austin. Over the course of those four months, my back has healed, my minor wounds have closed. Now all that remains is my stomach wound and my ribcage to heal. Then I'll be fine. I took a other deep breath and walked down the streets.

After a little while, I got to my house, going around to the back and entering the house silently. I saw Crystal trying to make Austin eat and I crept up behind the two before putting my hands over Austin's eyes, leaning close to his ear and ignoring the pain in my abdomen.

"Guess who?"

I smiled and hugged him back, but immediately felt how skinny he was. I pushed him into the couch and stood above him, frowning down at him. "You, sir, are going to eat every bite of that food." I ordered him, crossing my arms carefully over my stomach. "If you don't, I'll NEVER let you wash my hair again."

"It's just because I'm magical. And I speak the truth." I said, watching Crystal leave. I sat down lightly, sucking in a breath of pain and leanin back. I turned to Austin. "Wanna see something cool?" I asked, sitting up and taking off the jacket, my shirt and the brace and pointing at the long, mangled tissue on my stomach, which still had the stitches in. "Gross, right? I was fucking impaled by that fucking pole."

I looked down at the giant gash and blinked. That's a good question. How was I alive? I put the brace back on and sat back again, staring at the blank tv. "I don't know..." I said quietly. One of the cuts on my face began to sting. "I remember wanting to die though...every day. They couldn't give me enough painkillers to numb the pain without overdosing it and killing me. No one else would do anything so I pulled the EKG machine a few times... I think it's some sort of cruel joke that I'm still alive..."

Brady came down the steps and began crying. She walked over to me and hit me on the head. "You fucking dumbass!" She sobbed. "Ow..." I whined, holding my head and frowning. I looked at Crystal and frowned. "She hit me...she doesn't get invited to my birthday party."

Brady rolled her eyes. "You're birthday isn't for another two months." She stuck her tongue out at me. I frowned. "It's a pre birthday party orgy, okay?" I asked she. Her jaw dropped and she fought back to urge to smile. "You're having an orgy?" She asked. "Yeah. And you're not invited." I stuck my tongue out at her and put my shirt back on.
