  • A little girl who looked to be about fifteen, though she was short for her age, ran through the city streets looking around frantically. Her slightly curly brown hair waved down to her small shoulders and her blue eyes darted around. She wore a white t-shirt and tattered jeans. Tears were running down her face as she ran down the darkened street.

Something was chasing her. The wolf-like creatures called Erasers raced down the street after her, the five of them could have easily over powered the girl had she not been able to fun so fast. The girl's white wings were folded at her back one of them was stained scarlet, blood still dripped from her wound heavily, keeping her from flying away.

"Help me!" she cried out to anyone that could hear. Her lungs were burning and her legs hurt from running so long.

  • "Ehe!" A voice that mixed with the pitches of a young girl's with the gruffness of an adolescent boy giggled. It belonged to a female eraser, who still appeared as a werewolf would. Her build was less muscular than the others with her, but that meant nothing. She was still a deadly, blood-thirsty machine. Her claws were coated with a red liquid and she smirked, then noticing that she was falling behind the pack. Within moments, she was closing the gap between her and the others, her dark brown eyes shimmered as they locked onto the white wings.

"Cry as loud as you like!" She taunted, trying to gain momentum, "no one will come to your rescue." Her fur was a light color, contrasting the shreds of clothing that clung to her wolf body. It was unsightly, but she didn't care. None of the Erasers did. All that mattered was that she catch the loose Avian-Americans that had tried to escape. The gap between her and the girl was slowly, gradually, getting less and less.

Capture her! Her sanity told her, the faster she did, the less time she'd spend in this form. But the more dominant part of her brain said to keep this game of cat and mouse going for a little longer. Break her spirits! That was what she, Shyna, was known for. Reaching her large, muscle built arm forward, she let her fingers brush against the Avian's hair before she slowed back towards her pack again. "Just give up, we wont be too hard on you," she giggled in her hoarse voice. This was just too fun!

  • The little girl kept running breathing hard. She couldn't keep this up for long. She could hear the jeers of the Erasers behind her. 'No one will come to your rescue.' The words sent a thrill of terror through her. They would surely catch her in a few moments. Sweat poured down her face along with the hot tears as she forced herself to run faster. She could risk flying and losing a lot of blood, but she'd already done so from running this whole time; the pain was too much.

She yelped as she felt the Eraser's claws on her hair. Her lungs were starting to burn even worse now. She had to stop, but that wasn't an option. Somebody please help me! she screamed in her head as she was starting to feel dizzy, losing a large amount of blood was taking its toll on her.

  • || OOC: I'm so sorry! Everytime I went to post my computer would like tweak and delete it. It was so irritating D8< I'm sorry!!! This is gonna be kinda short >_<;; ||

The female Eraser grinned as the girl yelped. The scent of the Avian's blood mixed with fear was so intoxicating! The whites around her eyes turned bloodshot and her pupils narrowed as they fixated upon the younger girl. Her fingers twitched with delight. Her sanity was thin when she was in this form, but it wasn't completely unusual. Her sanity was a little wary in her human form as well. The Eraser lingered in the back of her pack, waiting, enjoying the chase. If she would just give up... Well... What fun would that have been?

"Oh little bird with your wings clipped," she mused with a fanged smirk, "just return to your cage!" Her muscles tensed, she needed to hurry it up. The Eraser was a weaker one, with short bursts of strength, and with hard crashes. She hurried her pace until she was almost neck and neck with the tiring Avian. She turned her head towards her, eyes glinting darkly. In one swift motion she lunged sidewards, turning her body like a lion pouncing onto her prey. If she missed, she'd waste a lot of time and energy... So she put her all into this one go.

  • OOC: My computer does that too. It happens randomly saying that I'm not logged in so I lose everything I typed. I try to make a habit of copying before I post. That's fine, doesn't look too short to me :)

    IC.
The girl was still running, panting heavily. She knew the Erasers were waiting for her to slip up. The girl's eyes widened in fear as she felt one Eraser gaining. She could feel the Eraser running beside her. This was it... Was she going to die? Her vision was starting to get blurry as she was reaching the end of her limit. Out of the corner of her eye she could see the Eraser lunging. She suddenly skidded to a stop and jumped over the Eraser dodging her attack. As soon as she hit the ground she was running again. She could see a narrow alley ahead that looked like it would fit her size and not the large Erasers.

She dove into the tiny alley squeezing inside. Hopefully it would be too tiny for the Erasers to fit through. She slipped all the way to the back of the small alley and collapsed on the ground.

  • The Eraser had remembered picturing it in her mind differently, this capture. When she lunged she had gotten closer, and closer to the girl's scared face, until all she saw was pavement. With an awkward thud, she landed on her forearms, skidding clockwise until she faced the way the girl was running. Lifting her legs, she, too, took off. Her face would have been flushed if she had been in her human form, but that wasn't the case. She could see the other Eraser's looking at her strangely, some of them angry, that she had failed to capture the Avian.

Well what are the rest of you doing! Her mind yelled as she strained harder to catch up to them. Her eyes narrowed as she followed, but she saw the girl slip into the alleyway. "Tch," she clicked her tongue in annoyance. Her human form wasn't as large as this form, but the Avian was still smaller. As she skidded to a stop, she watched her teammates almost run head first into the walls. One turned to the rest and suggested returning to the School.

They were all downtroded, but Shyna was the most aggravated. The others started to walk away, but she paused, staring behind towards the allleyway. They'd be back, and the next batch of Erasers would be on their way when her group rested up. She watched them leave and growled as she started to rush around the buildings. Her gaze began to waver, but she was determined to stay in this area until she found the Avian girl.

  • The girl panted quietly in the alley. Every breath she took hurt her lungs and as the adrenaline drained away her wing was starting to throb in agony. She sayed on the ground afraid to move. She curled up in a ball trembling. She could hear some of the Erasers retreating, but she stayed in her position and closed her eyes. She thought about how close she was to death now. If the Erasers didn't find her she would surely die of blood loss. She drifted off into a troubled sleep.

No one would find her here... no one would come to save her... Who would? She barely aware of anything as the sky started to get lighter.

  • There was no way she could go back to the School. Not without the Avian. With a clouded mind, she dragged her bloody claws against the tall buildings. The Eraser told herself she should have gone back, she wasn't in the condition to keep going. But the scent of the girl was still on her, and her inner beast drove her forward. That, and the fear of getting condemned by the adults back home.

The sun glinted into her eyes, and she blinked, shaking her head. Slowly, the fur started disappearing into her white skin, and her muscles reverted back into the normal body of an eighteen year old girl. She was a little short, but still tall enough not be mistaken as a child. The fur on her head turned into black hair that was cut in a layered bob around her face. It was messy, obviously, from the chase. Her clothes, a black tank top and a pair of jeans, were shredded and torn. Yet somehow it still all seemed so modelesque.

Her feet kept forward, tired eyes hoping to catch sight of a pair of wings. The faster she found the other girl, the faster she could return. Determined, she slapped herself on the cheeks and forced the bloodshot color out of her eyes. So she started running again, now as a human. "I'll find you little birdie!" Shyna muttered, the Avian couldn't be so hard to find in a bunch of normal humans.

  • The girl opened her eyes again blinking as she yawned. Her wings still folded against her back. She sat up looking around. She was still in the small alley. The blood had dried on her wing and it still hurt to move. How long could she stay hidden? She couldn't leave or she'd be exposed and captured. She brought her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her knees. How was she still alive? She wasn't completely in good shape. She still felt light-headed from the loss of blood. She rested her head on the wall next to her and closed her eyes.

  • || OOC: OMG I'm so sorry! I hate school D8< && I want to give your character more time to run away~ ||

Shyna cringed at the combination of dirt, rock, and hot concrete under her feet. Even though she spent a lot of time running, it was usually in her wolf form, so she had paws and padding to keep her feet safe. Now it was like walking on lava, and her feet were soft and sensitive, despite everything that went on. She sat on the curb, having already made it into the city, and pulled her feet up and examined them. There was only dirt and a few scuff marks, but everything would be fine.

"I hate this place," she said, adding a few curses under her breath. It was even worse because if she revealed her Eraser form here, things would not be good. Still determined to capture the Avian, the Eraser got up and snarled. As she continued to pass by the strangers on the sidewalk, she eventually cornered one in an alleyway. "Give me your shoes," she ordered without a second thought. It was a male, but his running shoes looked comfortable. "Uh, w-what?" He uttered, confused. 1"Give me your shoes." Her tone of voice didn't raise, but somehow it seemed much more aggritavted.

Needless to say, she left the alley, pulling the back of the shoe over her foot. She was ready. Taking off in a sprint she sniffed the air. Come out birdie.

  • OOC: That's okay. Are you off next week for Spring Break?

The girl stood up again looking around. She slowly made her way towards the alley squinting as the harsh sunlight reflected off the bright sidewalks and buildings. She hated the glare of the sunlight in her eyes. She had to blink a couple of times as her vision adjusted. She didn't feel light-headed anymore in fact the pain in her wing was a dull ache right now. She looked at her wings and her eyes widened. One of her wings was almost completely covered with dry blood. How didn't she die last night? Her white wings would be more exposed in the sunlight. Her blue eyes darted around warily as she watched people crossing the street.

OOC: I haven't come up with a name so she'll be "the girl" for a while xD

  • || OOC: I wish! I don't get off until the week after that. And haha I thought you were just doing that out of suspense. ||

Sniffing the air, the Eraser did her best not to just drop the ground and crawl around like a dog. There were so many smells in this area, she hated it. It just so happened she took a whiff of air as she passed by someone who was smoking a cigarette and had at that moment breathed out. Her nose filled up with cigarette smoke and she sneezed abruptly and choked for a few seconds. The people around her gave her strange looks, but no one did anything. Irriated, Shyna grabbed the person's cigarette and threw it across the road.

Before the pedestrian could do anything, she bounded off. All these smells were getting to her. She shook her head as she slowed to a walk. Her clothes were just tattered, making it seem more punk like, but she still could have fit in. It would have made it that much more easier to find the Avian, but they had already seen each other in the school. Closing her eyes, she tried her best to focus and started to sniff out the scent of blood. Close by...

  • The girl listened to the sounds of the city quietly. She extended her wings a little and winced. Maybe not yet... She walked quietly towards the entrance of the alley and looked out. The sidewalks were crowded with pedestrians. One... She tensed looking around. Two... She stepped forward. Three... She burst out of the alley way shoving through a crowd of angry or surprised people. She had to find somewhere else to hide or at least something to hide her wings as she darted past people they didn't have time to get a second glance. Then she glimpsed a shady store ahead. A store that people were avoiding. It looked shabby and old next to the other fancy places.

More angry mutters were heard from the people she pushed past. Someone even suggested calling the police. She ran faster bursting into the store. Good... no one was here... Only a surprised old shop owner blinked at her.

"Excuse me," she said as she grabbed some sun glasses and a sweater.

  • Pushing, shoving, how many people did she have to weave through to find the source of the blood? They were all giving her dirty looks, but when she looked up at them they couldn't be angry. Even if she was glaring like mad, her looks were enchanting, to a normal person, so they pretended like nothing ever happened. Finally she forced her way into an alley, exhausted.

Shyna made her way into the back, where the scent was the strongest. It lead to a turn, though, and there on the ground and against the wall was a bit of blood, mostly dry. There were no trails of other blood, and the Eraser growled. Either way she turned from here would lead her into the sea of humans with such foul stenches. But she realized that since the scent was strong, she couldn't have been too far behind...

  • The girl pulled on the sweater over her wings and the sunglasses over her eyes. She walked out of the store again looking around. Where would she go now? She wasn't familiar with this city and she couldn't just walk into a hotel and demand a room. Most people would probably think she was a runaway. She kept walking down the sidewalk blending in with more people not knowing where she was going.

She looked over her shoulder suddenly self-conscious. She wondered if all the Erasers had gone or if they were still here...

  • || OOC: IM SO SORRY!!! ;o; school = papers and more homework = suckiness ... and video games don't help either... ||

Shyna snuck out from the alleyway, not wanting to draw attention to herself. It was just something and people in alleyways that screamed weird to her, in the slightest way possible. Dark brown orbs glanced across the sea of people as she stood on the tips of her toes. Who was she kidding? She wouldn't be able to see someone that short in this mass. And she couldn't revert into her Eraser form, that would bring too much unneeded attention and trouble. With a startled blink and shake of her head, she paused. Maybe that's what she needed...

Glancing quickly around, she found a male in the crowd that had been staring at her, and she could tell because when their eyes met, he was completely flustered. Smirking, she dragged him with her into the alleyway that she was mostly sure the Avian girl had emerged from mere moments before. Within a couple of minutes there was a crowd gathering to that same alley, blood smeared across the wall, writing a single word. On the roof of the building that over looked the area, Shyna sat with the unconscious, but still able to live, boy laying next to her. There were two things she had to look for now...

  • OOC: That's okay. I've been busy too. I have TAKS on Monday and Tuesday so I've been studying a lot.

IC: The girl heard a commotion going on near the alleyway she'd recently left. She looked back as she watched people start to gather. She was more exposed now that there were less people on the streets. Keep your cool.. If she panicked and started running it would be too easy to spot her. She put her hands in her jacket pockets.

She fiercely fought the urge to run for her life as she picked up the pace, but only slightly. She felt as if she was being watched.

  • || OOC: Ooh >__< good luck!! ||

Crouching on the roof, keeping herself still behind one of the many large rectangular pipes that were used for air and electricity. Laying on the ground was still the human, who now had a large piece of his shirt wrapped around his neck. Licking her bloody fingers, she paused, her eyes glancing towards the people that lingered away from the commotion she had created. Something seemed odd. Quickly she rushed herself on all fours to the back of the building and lunged off, head first. Before she landed, her arms outstretched, she bounced up with her fingertips and landed on her feet.

As if nothing had happened, she rushed past the large crowd. But she slowed to a walk mid-way through and looked around. There were a lot less people walking around. And no wings... How would she even capture the girl without attracting any more attention? She walked on her toes, quickly but quietly, and tried to catch up to those who were walking quicker than usual.

  • OOC: Thanks! ;D Just think in 2 months I'll be on here 24/7 :D

The girl could feel the hairs on the back of her neck standing up. I'm not getting captured today she murmured to herself. Her pace was starting to speed up little by little. She shrugged into her jacket as if that made her look less suspicious. She could almost feel someone's searching eyes burning into her back. Her wings under her jacket twitched instinctively.

She wanted so badly to just fly away, into the sky where she seemed the safest. She shook her head rapidly. Too noticeable... She just kept walking her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn't rid herself of this feeling of impending doom.

  • Sniffing the air, Shyna grew more adjitated. The smells just had to linger there didn't they? Slowly her eyes just swiveled from one person to the next, over and over. There were boys, men, elderly, babies, women, and a few girls. She knew what she looked like, so she had to see the girl from the front. Quickening her pace to a casual jog, she turned back often to look at the faces of the people she passed. Because of her exhausted demeanor, she had to stare at them for at least half a minute, trying to register their faces.

After just a mere ten people she had to stop and lean over, her hands on her knees. She shook her head to try and wake herself up. It just made her more dizzy and disoriented. Wanting to continue on anyway, she forced her feet to keep jogging. When she passed by a few more people, she stared at them for a good minute and continued on, without even recognizing anything about them. One of those persons was a girl in a sweater. Even thought Shyna thought that it was too hot to wear something like that, she couldn't even think much and continued on. She needed a rest soon.
