"Was that a head?" Dominic said a little wary.

"Cac," Tori said, head in her hands. "This is all my effing fault." If only she hadn't left. She should have let Eternal handle the explosion; instead she had left her curiousity get the better of her, and had gone to check it out herself.
-
Gregory stepped back from all the mess, letting go of Eternal's hand. "Umm.... I'll get the broom." he said, then got away from the mess and walked slowly down the hall until he reached the broom closet.
-
Eternal shook her head slowly. "No Tori. Don't blame yourself." She mumbled, swallowing the bile that rose in her throat. Dice had been such a good friend, and she was angry sure, but this wasn't the time to point fingers. If this is what They are capable of, there was no room for infighting. "If anything, it's my fault. I heard the explosion, but I should've come home. I even knew there wasn't going to be anything there. I should've been worrying more about what was happening here, not at a tiny house that hadn't even mattered."
-
Gregory got the broom and walked back in the room. He swept the pieces into a large pile beside the head, then got a sheet and laid it on top of the parts. He walked out of the room, dropping the broom on the floor.
-
"If it's ok, Dominic and I can help." Atlanta said putting her little brother down.
-
Tori watched grimly as Gregory swept everything together. She stared at Dice's severed head, unblinking; blood and gore hadn't bothered her even before They had taken over.
-
Eternal huffed and shook her head clear. "Alright. That settles it then. Better start enjoying yourselves. You never know who They'll take next." She muttered before heading towards where the main entrance sat. It had been a nice building when They hadn't been around. The floors were pearly tile, or, used to be. A small fountain sat in the middle. Surprisingly, the water hadn't gone murky yet. It was still crisp and clear. The leader seated herself on the edge of it, dipping her fingertips in. She had wanted to spend time down here before but, just never had the time. If They were going to start getting to the group, then she knew there was no chance, so why not do whatever she could until it was her turn.
-
Tori followed Eternal, leaning against a wall. "Shouldn't we try to find some way to find them?" she said after a while, breaking the silence. "These things have to have a weakness."
-
Eternal kept her gaze on the water, shaking her head slowly. "If those things had a weakness, we would have found it years ago." She mumbled in a monotone. She ran her wet fingers through her hair once, then rested her hand in her lap.
-
"We haven't had much of a chance to try to figure Them out," Tori reminded the leader. "There has to be something."
-
"Maybe we can try and catch one and experiment a little." Atlanta said then realized that it was silly to think that. Who had ever caught a Wraith?
-
Eternal managed a dry chuckle. "If it wasn't the most suicidal thing I'd ever heard, I'd say it was a good idea." She half-smirked at Atlanta, leaning back against her hands.
-
"Maybe we should try it." Tori nodded at Atlanta. "All we have to do is lure it into a building we've rigged. We could just set a few things up, then trigger them remotely somehow."
