    The white maine coon was resting upon a rock in the territory, her head on her paws. She was deep in thought, although she looked to be sleeping. She had a dead mouse beside her that she planned to eat later. She had just groomed her long fur and it now shimmered in the light. She just didn't like swimming, because she looked like a hairless mutant rat.

She just got her voice, she had been mute for the beginning of her life. But she had just realized days before, that in a new body the vocal cords might work. And they did.
