"Yeah," Green replied. Voices could be heard up ahead. "Maybe we should go over there," she suggested.
~
"Flames. The blue light you saw recently. Don't tell me you don't remember?" Eternity asked, raising an eyebrow.
~
"I think she means me." The light appeared, the Pokemon still anonymous. "Hello, Ian."

"Wait, so you want one of us to die?" Kate asked Eternity, still afraid she might get bit.
-
"Yeah, sounds interesting. Maybe there's more people."
-
Eternity cleared her throat. "You think I want Arceus's creations to die? I said I made Fate! It's doing its job well enough," she replied.
~
"Let's go then," Green said. She withdrew her Pokemon, running up ahead. -
Kate pondered over this for a second. She, for once, was at a loss for words.
-
"Ok!" She came up to her.
-
Ian narrowed his eyes. "I did.." He murmured. Something about this Umbreon was eerie; He felt it. "Who are you all?" He asked, Othello dropping his gaze off of Eternity for a moment.
-
Red backed off. Apparently not, because before he could take another step, a jagged spire of freezing ice erupted from the ground behind him. More came from the ground, creating an icy barrier between them and the others of the Shrouded Island. "You have not been dismissed. Sit down." Red didn't know why he did it, but he sat down as Black and the others did. Devin's cold gaze swept over the assembled trainers. "All of you will be given you an ailment. It will slow down your progress, but even I must do as Fate decrees. Without them, you would be easily able to complete this test, but even without them, you cannot prevail."
-
"As for that question, Ian, we are the creators of this island. You might as well be told what it is called," Flames sighed. The light winked out and a shiny Quilava sat there, with blue flames instead of red and orange. "This is the Shrouded Island."
~
Green skidded to a halt before she could slam into an icy barrier. She was shocked to find that a hole opened up in front of her. "Hello, Green! Come to join the party at last?" Eternity asked. -
Kate felt her bottom fall to the ice, not questioning it, because she knew she wouldn't like the answer. "What sort of ailment? A disease or something like losing something important?" she asked instead.
-
"Huh?" She tilted her head.
-
"H-how—" That's about as far as she got before she was pushed into the walls of ice.
~
"Nice question. It could be anything. As for Red, he already knows, or has a good guess of what his is," Eternity said, a cold smile drawing across her face. -
Ian looked at Devin. "I JUST came here. That's wretched! What kind of ailment?" He barked, a grimace of anger emerging on his face.
-
Faintly amused, Devin turned his gaze to Ian. "Unless you want to stay here forever, you'd better agree," Devin said. "This place is worse than the Labyrinth that Daedalus in Greek mythology created. But this place is my home."
-
"Well, any more surprises?" Kate asked.
-
"Yes," Eternity agreed cheerfully. She turned to Green. "You can sit down. And Zen, come inside."
-
Ian huffed, but nodded curtly. "One question. What will this illness consist of, even?" He asked, a little spooked.
OOC: My mom is bringing home Pokemon X. Saving my money was so worth it.
-
"Anything!" Eternity replied. She gave a sly look to him. "But you won't be as harshly treated as the other original PokeDEX Holders. Like Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Black, White, Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum."
-
Kate made some humorous fake entries in her pokédex. "What fun." she said sarcastically.
-
"...Alright." Ian responded solemnly, sighing.
