  • [font=Arial Narrow]Almost immediately, the deputy began to ponder, walking back and forth. His unkempt cream fur was slightly ragged due to all the supposed sleep he was getting each and every night. Each and every night, it would be the same; but tonight, the moon was shining brightly, its silver crescent shape shining through the murky clouds.
Looking up a the moon, he thought of its beauty, like the mate he was looking for. He may have been young, but he felt like he was ready. Throughout each and everyday, he grew older; now he was almost seventeen moons old, but who was really counting?

the night was someone luxanna hated with all her heart. it covered the world in a shroud of darkness, not allowing the fantastic rays to shine on the world, especially
on her pelt. but today was different. today, the blonde wolf wanted to be able to enjoy the night like a regular rushingclanner would.

her creamy brown eyes soon noticed golden [?] form of the deputy, hennessy. being her friendly little self, she padded over to her fellow canine, still wearing her smile even though she was not enjoying her time out at night.

    "hello hennessy," lux barked cheerully.

  • [font=Arial Narrow]"Hello," Hennessy barked in a clear voice, his broad golden snout pointed towards the sky, towards the moon to be exact. Though he didn't glance over at the she-wolf, he could tell by her movements that she had a lustery golden pelt. The creamy gold warrior's sharp tipped ears pricked, then stood still as the warrior himself turned to smile at the wolf. It was no doubt that he had finally met another canine like himself, one that he hadn't seen in moons, or at least, not after Dog... But despite all of the stress and ruffled fur, the deputy continued to smile. No one really knew how happy he was at the moment to see someone else like him.
The stress of the recent battle between Solticeclan was not a good one, which was why Hennessy was thinking of something, though it would take a while to figure it all out. Of course, he would tell no one about this, except maybe to Foxtrot, Lumn, and Boulderstar. Other than that, he couldn't tell anyone else at the moment.
Blinking his dark cocoa eyes, the dog glanced from the sky to the gold wolf. "So, how do you like it here?" he asked quietly, wondering if he could figure out if more canines liked it here than felines. Likely not, but still...

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"it's really nice, actually," she said. "though it would be better if someone i knew and loved was here. it gets kind of lonely." honestly, lux never felt lonely. she'd always find someone to talk to, even if it's just a squirrel or a hawk. they'd always entertain her until she had to participate in a patrol of sorts.

"so...why are you out here so late?" the wolf asked, raising an invisible eyebrow.

  • [Font=Arial Narrow]Hennessy chuckled. "I guess I like staying up late," he admitted, looking up at the moon. "Likewise, I haven't exactly been getting a good amount of sleep for the past two or three days. I don't have that fiery spark for battling." With that, he continued to look up at the casted sky with shimmering brown eyes. "So may I ask you the same question; why are you up so late?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"oh," she ruffed, averting her warm brown gaze. "well, i personally don't like the night because it covers the world in darkness, something else i don't love. but i thought that today would probably be a good day to actually try and enjoy the dark, though im not really scared."

  • [font=Arial Narrow]"I see," the canine replied, somewhat keen to press on about this conversation. Instead, the golden furred canine continued to look up at the sky. "Do you remember anything about your past?" He asked at last, swallowing a large lump that formed in his throat. His voice was quiet and rather uncertain, as if he had swallowed a fly of some sorts.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"bits an pieces," she said. "i can remember my two adoptive sisters, and my adoptive brother. there are more siblings, but i cant clearly recall them. and i also remember...the, um....devastating tornado that killed my parents." the last part was only a mere whisper. it was too painful to think about.

  • "Oh, I see," Hennessy murmured softly, looking up. "To be truthful, I never really remembered my family too much," he admitted softly. "They were abusive a bit, but that's all I can remember..."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"ah," she said numbly. "i dont think you would like to hear this, but i'm sorry that you had to live with such a family. at least you have a good adoptive father. i wish i had someone like him, to tell him all my secrets, all my worries. but enough about me. how are you?" 'well' was something she wished to hear from the deputy. an unwell deputy meant that there would be troubles in the clan, especially since foxtrot was not here as often as hennessy.

  • [font=Arial Narrow]"Good, though I can be better," the canine admitted with a sigh. "Just a little trouble about the clan's activity... That's all truly." Hennessy smiled, having a somewhat hard time to swallow this all in at a time. "There's only... What, about ten, max that are active here? It just disturbs me, a lot..." The deputy sniffed, inhaling some cool air.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"i'm sorry that im not one of those active ones," she admitted, her creamy brown gaze directed at the stars. "im not very social. but i can be once im used to living in rushingclan without my family. it might take a while, though." yeah, in about a thousand years. lux could hardly even survive without feeling nidalee's warm fur, or not hearing vi's little voice, telling them about some sort of badass thing. even ao shin's face was in her mind, even though they had not talked often. a sigh escaped her lips as she closed her eyes, wanting to remember all the good times she had with her adoptive family.

"the night is actually quite beautiful," the blonde wolf finally admitted. "the bright stars and the lovely moon make up for the sun, actually."

    /mobile

  • [font=Arial Narrow]"It does, doesn't it," the canine agreed silently, rolling onto his back, his snout pointing up at the stars. His brown eyes glittered as he let out a relieved sigh. "I didn't mean you by the way," he murmured, moving back towards the conversation about the activeness. "It's more like... They're social, but... I don't know if they're abducted, or if they're captured... But they're like Phantoms..."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"oh," she mumbled, looking down at her paws to hide the blush from her embarrassment. "maybe a contest to become a high position will raise the clan's activity. i know i would definitely participate. but it seems kind of stupid at the same time to hold a contest just to make the clan more active."

  • [font=Arial Narrow]"That's a good idea; I should talk to Boulderstar about that..." Hennessy murmured, yawning slightly. "We could have a few more stealth-walkers, I would think; Lumn is the only one now..." Hennessy trailed off; Lumninousheart was a stealth-walker when he and Jollyroder had been stealth-walkers too; the only thing was that... Well, she was the only one left now...
"You'd make a great Stealth-Walker," he complimented, blinking.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"really?" she asked, raising her head to reveal her rosy-pink cheeks. "i-i dont think so. if the rank has 'stealth' in it, i'm not good at it. im too loud and cheerful to ever be stealthy." honestly. the last time lux ever tried to be stealthy was when she played a game with her siblings to see who could sneak up on their father the quietest. of course, the wolf lost badly. she started laughing so loud because she thought it was hilarious how they looked as they tiptoed their way to their father.

  • [font=Arial Narrow]"Just try it, everyone is stealthy in a way. Plus I'm big and bulky, so it was hard for me, especially in the hot summer, when I had my tongue rolling out and about. It was horrible though." Just thinking about it made Hennessy want to start lapping up some cold, fresh water.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 350px;][size=7pt][color=white]"i suppose everyone is stealthy in a way," she said, a little more cheerful. "like in the daylight, i seem to move faster and such. or in any sort of light. the moonlight might even work too."

  • "Ha, that's right. Hey, why don't we practice now? Maybe I can teach you some stuff," Hennessy barked as he already started to crouch down.
