Derek placed her on her bed and let Juliet talk to her.

Juliet sat beside Mackenzie and somehow she calmed her daughter. Pretty soon, Mackenzie was fast asleep holding Emma and the teddy bear, with Griffin's shirt on. Griffin was asleep in the corner of the room.
Juliet was downstairs with Derek, drinking some tea and eating pizza silently. "I'm sorry." She said softly as she took a sip of her tea.

Derek shook his head "for what?" he asked.

"Everything..." She said, her voice sounded small and weak, as if saying the wrong thing would break her.

Derek looked at her "you have nothing to be sorry for." he said.

She looked at him. She then held up her hand and began counting off on her fingers. "I left like a clingy whore. I had our daughter randomly pop up unexpectedly. That bastard is after us...I'm here with two kids, one who isn't even yours-" tears were building up in her eyes and she had to stop talking to keep from sobbing

Derek shook his head "I don't see anything wrong with any of that." he said "Plus I already have a ton of monsters after me one more isn't going to make a difference." he said.

She smiled softly and laid her head on his shoulder

Derek smiled looking down at her "Come on you need to sleep." he said.

She smiled softly. "The magic word..." She purred as she thought of sleep. "You do too." She said as she held his hand tightly in her own

Derek nodded and picked her up in his arms and carried her up to his bed. He lay her down on one side and then climbed in the other "good night." he said kissing her cheek.

"Good night." She smiled as she kissed his nose.

Derek quickly fell asleep thinking about everything that had happened that night.

The next morning, Juliet was fast asleep with her head on Derek's chest. Mackenzie walked into their room and began putting stuff up. She was making them breakfast in bed, she had just learned it was Derek's birthday

Derek was still asleep not aware of the time since he had forgot to set his phone and he had stayed up really late the night before.

Juliet was close to Derek's side. The only thing covering her naked body was Derek's arm and their blanket. Mckenzie knew exactly what had happened the night before and she giggled. She gently shook Derek's arm, trying to wake him without waking Juliet. Emma was standing beside her, holding the tray.
