"She's madly in love with you." Mackenzie said with a laugh. "The hunter knew that...he said he wanted to get you because you killed someone named Kate...Mom never answered any of his questions and that got her hurt..." She said as they walked.

Derek nodded "interesting." he said "that is true though." he said.
-
When they got back, Mackenzie spoke with her mother. At first Juliet was silent, then she held her daughter. She kissed her daughter's cheek. They didn't know how to deal with it, but as long as her one and only friend was safe, she was okay.
-
Derek went back down to the basement and walked through the rooms looking around.
-
Juliet followed with a smile. "Everything okay?" She asked
-
Derek nodded "yeah." he said "i was just looking I never came down here after the fire.' he said.
-
Juliet looked around and picked up a little baby doll. "Aw, I remember when I lost this here...I thought it didn't make it." She said holding up the baby doll that was covered in sharpie. "Remember when we used to practice drawing tattoos on it?" She asked through a laugh
-
Derek nodded "yeah. "he said still looking in all the stone rooms.
-
Juliet put the doll down and kept looking around with him. She was so used to him teasing her and such, it was so different to have him just standing there, looking silently with her. She tripped over something and landed face first into a skeleton. She couldn't help but scream and run to Derek.
-
Derek was spaced out as he looked at the skeleton everything down here made him forget about the present and he was back in his past when the fire had happened.
-
Juliet was shaking and clinging to Derek. She never seemed to get over death. Out of everything that might've scared her death scared her the most.
-
Derek walked towards the body it was his cousin. The worst part was that his cousin wasn't even a were-wolf just and average boy.
-
"I'm sorry, Derek..." She said as she hugged him. "Let's go back upstairs." She said
-
Derek couldn't take his eyes off the body and stood immobile.
-
Juliet gently rubbed Derek's back.
-
Derek looked at her "ok let's go." he said quickly thinking about the others who had died and not wanting to relive the night-mare.
-
Juliet nodded and walked up the stairs with him. Emma ran over and hugged Derek's legs and giggled. "Hi!" She said
-
Derek smiled and looked outside it was dark "it's late isn't it?" he said picking her up "i think it's time for bed." he said taking her up the stairs.
-
Emma let out a sweet yawn and snuggled into him. She could barely keep her eyes open. "Mackenzie, it's time for bed for you too." Juliet said. Mackenzie nodded and followed her dad and little sister up the stairs. Juliet sat down on the couch, she was so happy to see that her girls finally had a father who wouldn't hurt them.
-
Derek made sure they both had a bed and then walked down the steps "come on I wanna go for a walk." he said.
