I'm back baby! (Shadewater welc[o]me back)

    The dark grey almost blue she-cat padded into the clearing. She has been gone awhile but was ready to be back. Taking a deep breath, her white chest rose as the familiar and unfamiliar scents filled her nose. Her bright blue eyes shone proudly. She may have made a bad decision in leaving but came back. Shadewater wondered who would approach and remember her, her mate was gone and many familiar cats too.

    "Name and business please." Chro meowed sweetly as she padded forward and smiled at the cat on this side of the border. She wasn't sure who she was because Chro had only recently joined the clan, but she was naturally friendly to any cat she met. The question she asked was necessary to make sure they weren't merely being invaded, but she still kept as friendly a tone as she could when she asked. She also tried to sound cheery and welcoming every time she said it in case the cat wanted to join and wanted to feel welcome. Chro obviously couldn't accept cats because she was just an apprentice, but she could still ask the question about a cat's name and business. The question also helped her learn the names of her clan mates and future clan mates. That was important because she wanted to know every cat in the clan to be a loyal clan mate. Clan mates always seemed to know each other.

    "Actually, we aren't needing a name and business." Cinerstar said, as he padded over. "Shadewater, is that you?" Cinerstar said, tears in his eyes. Finally, he had found his clan-mate! He thought she had died, along with the others in the forest fire.

    Shadewater nodded eagerly unable to stop the tears from he blues eyes. She padded forward, across the border, purring and rubbed her cheek on cinerstars. "I have missed you!"

    [justify] Shadewater. A cat he hadn't known personally but had liked as a clanmate. He too had thought she had died in the fire as well. Turns out she didn't. Battleship lingered a little behind Cinerstar, his copper eyes curious and half confused as he looked to her. Was this really her? Or was the assistant deputy's eyes playing tricks on him? When she answered, he assumed that his eyes were lying. Letting out a low sigh of relief, he mewed, "Welcome back" with a small and friendly smile. [/justify]

    "Welcome back, Shadewater. I hope you're going to stay." Cinerstar said, eyeing the ex-deputy. He really did miss having her. The fie had basically killed everyone -- it sucked.

    "Thank you" the she said to the deputy. She wasnt sure who he was, but he was obviously super nice. She needed friends and clanmates after the losses from the fire, "i do. We have lots to discuss." She purred smiling brightly at each cat.

    "What to come back to camp? We can talk there and on the way." The tom-cat offered.

    Chro didn't have any clue who this Shadewater was, so she just quietly sat and watched Cinerstar's reactions. He obviously knew this cat, and he seemed to enjoy her presence. She didn't want to interrupt such a happy reunion, but she didn't want to leave the scene just yet. She just sat with her tail curled over her paws and smiled brightly. Her clan leader was happy, so she was happy. She loved seeing the leader of her clan happy because she considered him a rolemodel. He had been so welcoming when she joined, and she wanted to follow close in his paws. She wasn't exactly sure if she wanted to lead an entire clan, but she wanted to be kind to all of the clan members.

    Shadewater nodded, "lead the way." She purred. It was nice to be among friends.

    Leading the former deputy to camp, he asked, "So, is there anything you wanted to talk about?"

    "What did i miss?" The grey shecat asked. She was a lit th le slower then cinerstar but her muscles were still weary. She was getting stronger and ket up with him.

    "We moved to this territory, obviously. I appointed a new deputy, and more new ranks. We merged with Forestclan, so that's why you'll see unfamiliar cats. Chelseagrin and I became mates and recently had a litter. Masqueradeball came back, thankfully. There's not much to catch up on. Right now, we're holding a festival."

    Desertbaby walked over. He glanced at Cinerstar and then the cat he had never seen before.

    Poppypaw did not notice her leader nor the ex-deputy of BirchClan. She was merely padding towards the herbal den, which was her current, brand-new home, a bundle of life-saving, healing leaves in her jaw.

    Shadewater listened to cinerstars explanation but all the movement and eventual familiar pelt flash caught her eye. It was hard to see everything but she wanted to. "At least the clan is doing well. We have merged many times, this will be nothing different. " she lowered her voice for cinerstar "just hard without some cats and memories." This reminded of Dogfang, her family, and her kits that never had a chance. Birchclan had been her home, but there was no more home so she had to move on.

    "It was terrible. Not a day goes by and i dont miss them. We were blessed that so many survived and we could reestablish. " shadewater sighed sadly but gave a light purr for him.
