    It had been a generally exciting day. Grasskit had gotten even messier than she'd planned, mostly by getting wet in a puddle or two and then rolling in the sand. She had even given herself a quick wash afterwards, something the kit hardly ever did. But now the sun was setting, and it was as the world turned dark that new lights appeared in the sky. One of the lights flew around her face before darting off. What was it? Whatever it was, Grass knew it was very pretty – but how come she’d never seen one around before?

    Head shoved in the little 'meadow' patch, Lumi was doing the only thing she could do, search for herbs. Training had yet to start, and Luminescentpaw was admittedly hoping it wold start soon. It was nighttime, some saying what a dangerous time it was for she-cats, but Lumin ignored that. The medicine cat apprentice spotted fireflies as she lifted her head. The search had ended abruptly, but the lovely silver she-cat figured it was okay. Plush fur kept her cozy as she neared the fireflies, and she let of a sigh of awe. However, there was more than just fireflies. A daughter of Inkstar, Grasskit was there as well, and Lumi held back her brief surprise, and instead, approached her after the surprise had faded. "Grasskit, is that you? You do realize how late it is, don't you sweetie?" Luminescentpaw tilted her head as she inched closer, and then continued, "Do you know what these lights are, Grasskit?" She mewed, citrine orbs focusing on the figure of Inkstar's daughter.

    Grasskit blinked and turned back to see one of the apprentices – wasn’t it Luminescentpaw? She grinned. “I know how late it is.” she mewed. “I just wanted to see what these lights were. They’re amazing.”




    The kit cocked her head. “What are they, anyway? They’re all so pretty. Are they floating stars?”
