Ivy padded around the underground cave. "Do you live here?" she asked Shatteredstep.

"Oh your in a clan?" Ivy asked. "I think I've heard of those."

"Why? They should notice you all the time." Ivy's eyes clouded.

OOC: You all in for a treat for this post...
"No one should ever be disregarded.", Umbre said. His eyes, even though his voice was strong and sure, showed a different kind of pain. A pain that rendered the mind little more than a useless blob of hurt and depression. A pain that put you into your own darkness. The red of the brightest, purest ruby, darkened, making it look as if blood had seeped into Umbre's eyes and destroyed the warmness and love that so usually filled those bright, fiery eyes. Umbre clumsily sat down, almost stumbled backward, and began to silently sob, cursing those who had brought upon his never-ending torture. And then, he was lost in his darkness again.

Ivy padded over to Umbre's side and lay down next to him. "I can tell something's wrong. Please tell me what it is." She murmured gently, not at all like the jumpy cat she had been a few seconds ago. Her tail lay on his ear, trying to comfort him.

The murmurs...the whispers...they talked to him. Called his name. Played his mind. Broke his sanity like a twig...
"I...they are hunting me...hunting...hunting...hunting...nothing matters...but my death...", Umbre struggled to rasp out of his locked mouth.

The light broke through and the voices screamed in agony. The blinding feeling of his eyes adjusting to the light in the cave made Umbre a laugh to himself in joy...
Umbre looked up at Shattered, his eyes filled with complete shock.
"I...I can stay? Wh...wha?", he asked. His lips trembled uncontrollably, and he found he couldn't say anymore. Those three words, that blessing in disguise, had taken him back far. The darkness fled from his eyes, and they once more glowed with care, and joy, and life. Umbre had been waiting for those words to be said for many moons, but now that they were said, he didn't know what to do.

Ivy smiled, happy to see Umbre not so sad. She purred and drifted into sleep, forgetting she was in Shatteredstep's cave.

IC: Umbre nimbly went up to the cleft. He quickly and nervously kissed Shattered.
"Thank you...", he whispered softly in her ear. Then, he jumped down, and curled up. He was asleep fast.
