Venus, the Loner (open)

Runningwind followed cautiously, his claws unsheathed. He dropped the rabbit, and examined the room. "Wow, how'd you manage to dig this out?" He meowed, thinking back to his old clan once more, where there were cats who dug tunnels. He bent, and bit into the rabbit, chewing into the chewy flesh.

"Yes, quite nice." Runningwind meowed between mouthfuls of rabbit. He had soon taken a huge chunk from the side, and began to bite away mouthfuls from the back

Runningwind swiftly finished his rabbit, licking his jaws free of the sweet, nectar-like blood that had seeped from the prey. "Well, I don't think you really want to know that. You'd only run from me." He meowed, looking down at the rabbit carcass, now stripped of any edible meat.

"Hmm......." He paused, as if to think. "Nothing. Just trying to find a ne- a home." He finished, cutting off new from his sentence. He didn't need the cats around here to know anything about him. He licked the last remnants of rabbit blood from his jaws, before turning back toward the cat, his head moving to the side in order to see better.

OOC: I know. I have Losteye, who i've had for a while, and Running's blind in one eye. Frost lost his eye in rp, but had two functioning eyes. The other's thought it would be cool if the medicine cat got into a fight with the leader and lost his eye because of it. They're so lovely, aren't they?

IC:
"Err, thanks." Runningwind meowed, looking at her. His tail flicked, his voice wavered, as if uncertain. He clawed the earth nonchalantly, making a small, circular design in the dark dirt. He glanced up from the design, noticing she had a friendly tone about her offer. "Um, yes. That'd be great." He tried to make himself sound friendly and sure of his decision, but it still seemed as if he was unsure, or scared of something, rather.

OOC: Brokenclan. They're all: "oh woe is me! I am so sad, and my cat is going to be a suicidal maniac!" It's quite annoying. Frost is the only happy one, but I've made him grumpy and snappy. :P

IC:

Runningwind smiled. "You could say that....." He meowed, looking at her. He then turned, and padded form the den, heading again for the field. He didn't know if she was following or not, and took off, racing through the trees, faster than most people thought a cat could run. His tail streamed behind him, flapping in the wind like a snake, and his paws churned effortlessly, eating up the ground quickly. He made it to the field, and skidded to a stop, sending dirt flying out from under his paws. He laughed, panting, as he hadn't run in quite some time. Padding through the field, he bit away some heather, and snapped at the stems of a huge amount of wheat. He piled it all in a clearing, and had collected many stalks of wheat by sunset. He then started to search for bird feathers, finding about fifteen. With the feathers held by the little stems that spouted from the bottom, where the feather part ended, his trotted back to the cut wheat and heather stalks. Grabbing the heather stalks in his jaws, and about half of the wheat, he held the other half under his chin. He turned, and ran back to the clearing, arriving just as the sun sunk below the earth. As he padded inside, he dropped everything he had been carrying, and started to assemble a nest.

"Nipht." He mumbled, a hunk of wheat in his jaws. Finally, he tucked the last of it into his nest, long after Venus had turned in to sleep. As he curled into his nest, he smiled. "Night. And.....thanks." he whispered, knowing she was most likely asleep.

Runningwind was asleep, twitching and moving relentlessly. His gave a faint snarl, and it subsided. He could see the dead cat again, her body laying on it's side, throat slashed open. He could smell the blood and grief in the air, hissing as he saw a scene from his past.

Runningwind still twitched in his nest, muttering something that sounded like a name. His claws were unsheathed, and he seemed to be trying to fight something, something that had been very real at one time. He let out a faint hiss, and his ears moved, seeming like he was trying to flatten them. His tail lashed at a slow pace, swishing back and forth methodically.

Suddenly, Runningwind's left paw struck out at a suprising rate, and he let out a furious screech, waking instantly. He turned, and realized Venus was gone, heaving a sigh of relief. He sheathed his claws again, and shook out his fur, the nightmare still fresh in his mind. The even worse thing was, it was true. He was reliving the part of his past that caused him to run from Windclan, and end up here. He sighed, and flicked his ear, wondering what had happened to Venus.
