Asch sensed the mood. He immediatly nelt up toward Rei and began rubbing their cheecks together. Julian came back down with what he needed and set to work on the couch.

Rei smiled as he petted Asch,rubbing his head and scratching behind his ears."Who's a good kitty?"He asked quietly,sniffing.

"Meow." Asch said in response to the affection and began to purr. Julian looked at him then rolled his eyes. "Should I put Asch on the invite list too?" he asked.

"Yes. He can be my right-hand man,won't you my little Asch-kun?"Rei asked,nuzzling the cat before taking his little paws in his hands.

Asch mewed. "And what is it that you're going to have him do?"

"Pretty sure I can have something for him by the time it comes around."Rei said,already thinking of the possibilities.

Julian sighed then put Asch down.

Rei smiled lightly and petted the feline.

"Why do you like him so much?" Julian asked.

"I don't know,he's helped me in the short time he was here,so I him my love and I care for him. Plus...it seems you two don't get along very well."Rei shrugged,hugging Asch and nuzzling him.

"Of course we do. That cat has been finding ways to try and make me miserable before my mother even took him in." Julian said, glaring at the cat.

Rei chuckled and looked at Asch."I just see him as a partner. Partner in crime even. He just kinda eases the depression and the emptiness,ya know?"He asked.

"Glad you like him. He's all yours." Julian said before he went back to his notebook. He got bored so he began to draw.

Rei laid back with the violin in hand."I could teach you if you wanted."He spoke up suddenly."But you'd probably be too busy or not interested."He murmured,dissing the idea quickly.

Julian looked up, a bit surprised then shook his head before returning to his drawing. "It would be a waist of your time. I've already been through all sorts of music lessons as a sort of therapy and I can tell you that I have absolutly no musical talent."

"Neither when I started,but look at me now. Well yeah I can see what you are getting at."He replied lightly.

Julian went back to drawing. "I'd probably drop it by accident or something anyway." he said.

Rei just nodded and dropped the subject,regretting he'd ever brought it up in the first place.

Julian sighed. Maybe he should explain it a bit better so Rei wouldn't look so down? "So how much do you know about what my father has done?" he asked, a little bit reluctently.

"Sadly I don't know much,given only a few things to see,but I've seen pictures,read hate mail and believe me,seeing the marks on your body is enough proof that he was an abusive person who liked his dominance. I actually got to see you smile,though it was just a picture of a younger you,about the age of seven I believe? Before the one I seen of you in the hospital."Rei explained.
