Waking Up (Open)

    PaintedPaw sat up, yawning. It felt as though she'd been asleep for moons. She stretched one paw out in front of the other, her claws scrabbling on the warm moss she used for bedding. Her jaws stretch wide in a huge yawn, long tail lashing from side to side. "Good Morning world." She muttered, looking around for something to do.

    "Hi", the black apprentice Windpaw said blearily, he stretched and stumbled out of his moss bed. "does the world greet you back? Generally it just turns and growles at me," he purred, only half jokingly. "do you want to go explore?"

    Owlpaw rolled over and grumbled. She opened up her eyes and glared at Windpaw. "What's wrong with you!" she grumbled, still laying on her side. "Can't you let a cat sleep?" She let out a low growl.

    "Lazy bones, you've been sleeping all day.'' Windpaw said. '' You want to come with us?'' he asked owlpaw.

    Owlpaw thought for a second then sat up. "Sure," she grunted "Where are we going?" She licked her paw and ran it over her head, waiting for an answer.

    That's a bit far, Owlpaw thought. She shrugged away the thought and looked windpaw in the eye. "Okay." she mewed. Then she turned to paintedpaw. "You coming?"

    PaintedPaw twitched her whiskers in amusement at their exchange. "Of course I'm coming! There's nothing better than exploring on a cold, boring winter's day." She yawned again and padded to the entrance, stepping out into the cool sunlight.

    PaintedPaw upped the pace, galloping ahead of BreezePaw. "Come on both of you!" She headed for the camp exit. "We'd better hurry. The farm is more than a few rabbit hops away!"

    Owlpaw stood and raced after them into the cold, leaf-bare morning. "Hey! Wait for me!"she yelled after them.

    ic-windpaw raced after paintedpaw, his longer legs inabiling him to catch up quickly. he glanced at Paintedpaw, "race you?" he dared her, then took of like a shot.

    Owlpaw dashed forward, trying to beat Windpaw. Even though she was ahead of Paintedpaw, she didn't even get near Windpaw. "Wait for me you mousebrain!" teased. Today was one of her better days.

    Windpaw finally turned around to wait for the two other cats, panting hard, he loved running, and no cat could ever beat him in a race. "Come on slowpokes!" he yelled.
    ooc- started a new thread in barley's farm, i called it... an apprentice adventure

    Owlpaw laughed and raced past windpaw. "Try to catch me now!" she shouted and galloped towards Barely's farm.
