"Wait, boy!" Alice shouted out after him as she tried to catch up to him. She knew the boy had already had a pretty decent head start. Despite being an athlete, she was still having trouble catching up to the boy.

He looked back at her. He looked back at her scared and started to run faster.

"I'm not going to hurt you!" Alice was extremely worried for him, what if there were vampire's roaming around? Picking up her pace she started to gain on him.

"You said he wouldn't be back!" The boy cried.

"He's not going to hurt you!" Alice shouted back as she finally caught up to him grabbing his arm. Pulling him into a hug, she held him tightly.

He screamed and tried to get away. "No! No! He badman!" He screamed.

"No he's not," Alice said softly as she held tighter onto the boy. "Now please, calm down," she said in the calmest tone she could muster up.

He shook his head back and forth. "He is. He killed my mommy!"

"No he didn't," Alice knew quite well that Lucifer did kill his mother, but even she didn't want to say it.

"Yes he did!" He screamed.

Flinging the boy around to face her, her gaze was soft, but full of strength. "Listen, I told you, I'll be your mother from now on..." her facial expression was understanding.

"Your not my real mom!" He cried. "I want mommy!"

"Your mom is never coming back," Alice raised her voice a bit knowing how true it was. It was the same for her, her mother was never coming back.

He started to cry harder. He tried to get away from her. "Let me go!"

"No, be quiet!" Alice commanded covering the child's mouth with a towel covered in chloroform. Where did that come from? She'd been carrying it around for some time now just in case.

Sighing lightly, Alice carefully picked up the child and began on her way home. Glancing around, she just barely realized that they had gone a bit further then intended. -
Eyes watched her from a far. Suddenly a man appeared in front of the girl. He smiled at. "Hello, sweetheart."

"U-Um hello..." Alice said taking a step back, holding the kid tightly. Where'd this man come from? She thought to herself. He had literally just came out of nowhere.
