Sunny panted, her fever getting the best of her. For three days she had traveled, catching a dreadful fever on her second day of the journey. The lilac tabby she-cat gazed wearily at her paws, wishing she could end it all. I want my Twolegs. She regretted ever leaving her Twoleg Nest, even if she was this close to the "Clan". The ailing she-cat weakly looked up, expecting to see nothing more than the dry grass she had seen for the past two days. What she saw astounded her.
The red barn Smitten had told her about laid right before her. Her deep copper eyes stretched wide, and a small, feeble smile spread across her face. She saw cats dotting the surrounding area. She confidently strolled through the crowd, her head held high. But it seemed that something was amiss with the many cats.
Scowls spread across their faces, and their tails were twice their sizes. Their spines were arched and their hackles were raised. They spit at her when they noticed her neon yellow leather collar, and their eyes were filled with hatred. Nonetheless, Sunny kept padding along weakly. The large boulder on the western bank of the pond seemed like years away. Thinking of the trek there, she felt dizzied. She winced, digging her long claws into the ground. She just had to make it there!
Almost halfway there, Sunny took a deep breath. In less than a moment she started to sprint to the boulder, to the the surprise of the WindClanners. Cramps seized her body, and she started to gasp. "I . . . have to . . . make . . . it!" she gasped between breaths. She abruptly stopped at the large boulder, shivering and shaking. She felt her paws quivering feebly, panting, and looking down at her shaking paws. She heard a far away voice, fuzzy and unidentifiable. Hesitating, she looked up, expecting another angry warrior. It was the legendary Cinderstar, the one Smitten told her about.
