Melanie drove quickly down the road, going somewhat slower as they hit small bumps. "You're a popstar, Kyle Frost. The last place you want to go to is Vegas." She laughed quietly. "Went there once. I'll never be the same again." She shook her head.
"As long as you pull your own weight around here, you can stay. You don't seem to be a bother anyhow. I just have to be able to trust you since I have work and stuff." Melanie thought for a moment. Eventually Kyle would leave, but certainly it would be a few months before that happened.

"Well, true, but I mean I can buy an apartment there and maybe cut my hair and strip the dye, and wear different clothes and just be normal."
"Someone bigger than me is going to come along. I can't wait until people forget about me." He sighed and played with the seat belt. "Alright. If you need me to do anything, just tell me and I'll do it for you." -
Melanie smiled. But normal doesn't exist, Kyle. Everybody's unique. Thoughts in her head usually drifted around until she vocalized them. "Thanks. People will forget about you, don't worry. It happens all the time. My best friend is living proof. Anyway, what is normal to you?" She asked.Melanie figured Kyle would be recognized in an instant if her windows had been tinted lighter, and silently thanked the universe that Alyssa had made her tint her windows darker, even if it was for a totally different reason. She had already drove into town and looked around, watching as people went about their everyday lives, probably not a care in the world.

Kyle watched the pedestrians absently. "Well.. Normal's being able to walk through a crowd and not have a million people screaming at you- for good or bad- and being able to go to public school, and working some minimum-wage job, being able to freak out over little things without looking spoiled, and being able to have friends who are weird. I dunno." He mumbled quietly, shaking his head. -
Melanie giggled. "That would make me normal. But, we both know that's not true." She replied happily as she parked in front of an old-looking thrift store. "Okay. We're here for clothes, and disguises. I don't want to take any risks. I don't want anybody to recognize you anywhere, because I'm not just going to keep you locked up inside my house away from civilization."Melanie unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the compartment that separated the driver's seat and the passenger seat. "Lemme see... Ah!" She grinned, pulling out what looked like a fishing hat and placing it on his head. "You'll need that, and these." A pair of sunglasses were handed to the popstar. "It doesn't matter how ridiculous you look. By the end of the day, you'll look normal and nobody will notice you." Her amber eyes shined with both humor and excitement.

OOC:IC:
Grinning, he adjusted the hat. "I've never been in a thrift store- this will be interesting." Kyle hummed a bit and smiled at her. "Thanks, Melanie. Really." -
Melanie felt a rush of emotion go through her at his words. If she had ever known that this popstar could act like this, well... Maybe she wouldn't have hated him so much. "Hey, this is actually pretty fun. I haven't played dress up and sneaked around places in ages." She grinned before getting out of the car and walking up the sidewalk to enter the store. Now I just need to make sure that Alyssa doesn't have a panic attack when she sees who I brought with me.

He got out, shoving his hands in his pockets and followed her quickly. His pale gray blue eyeswhatever they areglanced around for a second before he held the door for her. -

I'll check. So far his hair is bleached, not chocolate brown. :)IC ~
Melanie smiled and nodded her thanks, entering the store and looking around. It was a very big store, just like most thrift stores were. There were rows of toys, furniture, and lots of other items, but the entire right side of the store was devoted entirely to clothes. There were a lot of clothes.
"Melanie!"
There was a loud squeal as a girl with cherry red hair and leafy green eyes ran up to Melanie and gave her a tight hug. "Oh where did you go last night?! I kept calling and calling but you didn't pick up! Oh and then there was that thunderstorm... Girl, please tell me you were alright." The girl pulled away from Melanie and flashed a grin, showing off her pearly white teeth.
Melanie let out a sigh and brushed a few strands of her jet black hair away from her face. "Alyssa, do me a favor and calm down. I have an emergency and I'd really like your help." She fixed the girl with a somewhat desperate look.
Alyssa blinked in surprise, before she nodded seriously. "Girl, you know I'll help you with anything. By the way, is that weird guy with you?" She pointed to Kyle, a bit creeped out by how he looked.

okay uwu
sorry for the crap postIC:
Kyle shifted awkwardly, blinking behind the sunglasses and stopped messing with a little glass decoration on a shelf. He glanced to Melanie and shifted once more, standing straight. -

Totally fine. I have a high muse for this thread at the moment. :)IC ~
Melanie rolled her eyes and nodded. "Yes, he is. He's part of the emergency. Could you do us both a favor and take us to the back room? Your manager gave you the key, right?"Alyssa nodded. "Yep. I think she finally trusts me now, since I organize this place pretty well." She smiled cheerfully before leading Melanie and Kyle to a small room in the back of the store. The teenager closed and locked the door behind them, placing the key back in her pocket.
"So what's this whole emergency thing about, anyway?" Alyssa lounged on one of the four broken chairs in the room. It was very small, with white walls everywhere and nothing inside it except for a table made for a child and four chairs, all broken in some way or another.
Melanie sat down next to Alyssa and watched as Kyle did the same. "I'll tell you, as long as you swear not to scream, or freak out." She stated cautiously.
Alyssa tilted her head curiously, but nodded. "Sure, you've got my word, girl." She held a hand up to her mouth, ready to muffle her scream, though she doubted she'd be screaming anyway. She looked from Melanie to the strange guy and wondered why he was here anyway.
Melanie grinned and looked at Kyle. "You can take off the stuff. I trust her. She was the one who dragged me to the concert last night." Smirking, she reached over and squeezed Alyssa's hand tightly, ready to keep her under control from fangirling.
-
OOC:IC:
Blushing, Kyle stood off near the door as they entered the back room. He listened to them talk quietly.
Once Melanie told him he could remove the items, he nodded and blushed sheepishly, pulling them off and glancing away.
"Uhm. Your tickets were much appreciated? I don't know." -
Alyssa's jaw dropped, her eyes wide. The teenager seemed frozen in utter shock as she stared at her idol. "You... You're..." She dropped her hands, sitting in the chair with a numb mind as her brain tried to process what was going on at the moment.Melanie giggled. "Great icebreaker, Kyle."
"Holy shit. It's Kyle Frost." Alyssa suddenly perked up, grinning uncontrollably. She gripped the sides of her chair to try and keep from fangirling like an idiot. "Melanie, are you seeing this? It's Kyle fucking Frost. Holy shit!" She bit down on her hand hard, fighting back the urge to scream and collapse.
"Oh my God. Oh my fucking God it's Kyle Frost. In the same damn room with me. Talking to me! Directly!" The teenager giggled like a giddy schoolgirl. "It's like all of my fanfictions have come true!"
Alyssa suddenly stood up and crossed the small room, looking up at the popstar as if he were a god. "C-Can I touch you?" She asked, her voice shaking.
Melanie laughed and stood up. "Be thankful. She's actually taking this much better than I thought." She gave Alyssa a pat on the shoulder. "Hey, at least you didn't faint!" She exclaimed cheerfully.
-
OOC:IC:
Kyle smirked a bit at her at the icebreaker comment. He watched the girl freak out- the normal way most girls did on a daily basis. Though, he looked slightly creeped out at the fanfiction part.
"Uhm.. go ahead, nothing below the belt, please." He gave her an awkward smile. -
Melanie giggled. "You're taking this well, too, you know." She told Kyle.Alyssa nodded quickly. "D-Don't worry..." Slowly, she raised a finger and poked his shoulder. Then she grinned. "I will never wash this finger ever again. Ever." Looking at Melanie, Alyssa knew she was serious. Suddenly she hugged Kyle tightly, squealing.
"Oh shit." Melanie muttered, gripping Alyssa and trying to peel the girl off of poor Kyle. "Sorry, she's uncontrollable sometimes." She apologized, thankful that the girl's squealing was muffled by Kyle's clothing. Eventually she managed to get Alyssa away from Kyle. "Well, it could've been worse." She stated, watching Alyssa bounce up and down happily.

"She's not trying to tear my clothes off or cut my hair, so this actually is going pretty well." He pat her hair a bit and blushed. "Uhm. So yeah, this is a bit more normal than I'm used to, so that's good." -
OOC ~
Understood!
IC ~
Melanie smiled and watched as Alyssa practically squealed silently at being patted on the head. "Yeah, it's great. Though she'll probably want some article of clothing sooner or later. Am I right?"Alyssa stopped bouncing and nodded sheepishly. "Alright then. Let's get to work! So, disguises, am I right? Oh, and different clothes." She skipped happily to the door and unlocked it while Melanie placed the hat back on Kyle.
-
OOC:IC:
The idol fixed the fishin hat and pit the sunglasses back on. "I bet these pants would fit her better than me," he joked lightly and stepped out with them. -
Melanie laughed. "Probably." She answered.Alyssa turned around sharply, her eyes shining. "Really? Can I have them?" She asked hopefully.
Melanie rolled her eyes and hit Alyssa lightly on her shoulder. "Girl, you have a boyfriend!" She scolded. The three went back out into the main area of the store and Alyssa led them to the rows upon rows of clothes.
"Alrighty then! Go ahead and just grab anything. Melanie, I want you to get some clothes too. I'll pay." Alyssa stated cheerfully.
"Aw hell no. You know I can't afford to pay you back. I came here for him, not for me." Melanie grumbled, knowing that Alyssa wouldn't take no for an answer. "No clothes for me, nope."
Alyssa's eyes narrowed. "You. Clothes. Now." With determination, she pushed Melanie towards the clothes despite her protests.

Chuckling quietly, he glanced around before looking through the jeans. He pulled out faded paira, and one or two that were ripped in the knees. He also grabbed loose t-shirts and a plain polo shirt.
