  • Nate laughed. "You got that right. In this little place, it feels like everybody knows everybody. We work hard to keep things afloat. Not many lazy people come here." He finished up with Kyle's hair and picked up a broom, beginning to sweep his hair up.
"Alrighty, my turn~" Silver hummed with a grin. Dyeing people's hair was his favorite thing to do. He found it enjoyable, what with all the colors people could use. "What's your natural hair color, anyway?" He asked as he let Kyle choose a dye for his hair.

"Uhm. I think it was a shade of brown. I can't get technical with it. It's been bleached for yeaes. I'm surprised it's not dead." He brushed his hands through hisbshort hair, thanking Nate.

  • Silver blinked in surprise. "Me too." He stated honestly. He picked up the dye that Kyle had chose and started working on his hair. It was just so fun to him. "How many years?" He asked curiously.
"Sil, you ask way too many questions." Nate chuckled as he finished up with his job. He flashed a grin at Silver, who stuck out his tongue childishly in return. Then Nate started to talk with Melanie about how she looked thin and needed to get out more.

"Almost three, I think. I don't like it," he mhmbled absently. He glanced over and frowned slightly, eveadropping on Nate and Melanie's conversation.

  • OOC ~
    Oh Kyle you eavesdropper you.

    IC ~
Silver smiled. "Don't worry. The color you picked is a nice one. You hair will look great!" He exclaimed cheerily. Then he hummed quietly to himself as he worked, beginning to dye strands of Kyle's hair.

"...don't see why you don't hang out with us like you used to." Nate was murmuring, sitting in the chair next to Melanie's.
"I'm sorry, Nate. I truly am." Melanie sighed, turning her head so that she was facing away from Kyle. "You know I love it when the gang comes over and we play games and stuff, but I just can't go into town freely like I used to. It's weird, I'm simply not used to being around people anymore."
"You're by yourself too much, Mel. The animals and the peace of nature is messing with your head. The less time you spend in the town, the less comfortable you get. You've gotten thinner since the last time I saw you. Have you been giving your pets your food?" Nate shook his head when Melanie didn't answer. "I get it; money's a problem even with your day jobs. I just don't see why you don't let us help yo–"
"No!" Melanie hissed, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I told you guys that this is my problem, not yours. I'll let you help me when Hell freezes over." Her anger quickly subsided and she stared down at her hands, twiddling her thumbs in her lap. "Sorry." She mumbled.

Kyle stopped listening after they got quiet, and he stared at himself in the mirror. "Uh-?" He had stopped listening for a moment. "Oh! Oh, yeah, thanks. Sorry. Lost my mind for a second," He frowned and sighed, closing his eyes. He latched his fingers under the black hair apron thingy, thinking to himself.

  • OOC ~
Wanna do a timeskip or something to when they leave the place?

    IC ~
Silver laughed quietly. "No worries! I drift off like that too, sometimes." He continued his humming as he worked.

  • || συт σƒ ¢нαяα¢тєя ||

Yeah, poor Melanie is right. I kinda got that idea from my life. Not the events, but the feeling of helplessness. It was like it was drawn to me or something. Anyways, we still gotta let them bond and go to dinner and stuff. ;D

"And now, for the reveal!" Silver exclaimed cheerily. About an hour later, Kyle's hair dye had finally set. With a flourish, Silver took off the small towel surrounding Kyle's head to reveal his newly dyed hair.
Melanie grinned and clapped, Nate joining in the small applause. "It looks great!" She told him, looking at his reflection in the mirror.
"Another masterpiece, Silver." Nate chuckled and stood up, walking over to stand next to his boyfriend.

Looking at it, Kyle smiled and brushed his hands through. He turned and grinned. "Thanks, both of you. You too, Melanie."

  • Silver grinned cheerfully. "No problemo! Always a pleasure." He smiled, ever so cheerful about everything.
Nate smiled. "Totally fine. Anything to help you blend in. I feel like you've been through a lot as a popstar. I know it's tiring." He led the others to the waiting room so that he could bid them goodbye.
"Alright, how much was it, Silver? I know I shouldn't ask Nate because he'll make me not pay at all." Melanie raised an eyebrow at Silver, making sure he'd give her a price.
"Well, it adds up to 45 dollars, mostly the cost is because of the dye. But you don't need to pa–"
"You'll see a check in the mail when you get home tonight." Melanie responded, stubbornly cutting him off. She sent a quick, almost unnoticeable glare at Nate because he would never tell her the price. Silver was an honest, easily intimidated guy however, so it was easy to get a price from him.
"See you guys sometime later!" Melanie smiled, though it was a forced one. She bid her friends goodbye and left the store with Kyle.

He smiled awkwardly and left with her, shoving his hands into his pockets. "They seem nice," He nodded before looking at the ground as he walked.

  • Melanie nodded. "Yeah, they're pretty great." She replied absently. Her mind was somewhere else at the moment, trying to calculate how she would be able to make up for the 45 dollars she lost.

Melanie blinked, shaking her head clear of her thoughts. Turning her head, she gave him a weird look. "What's wrong?" She asked. It definitely looked like something was up with him. The two got into the car, but Melanie didn't start it yet.

"Nothing," He shook his head and got into the passenger side of her car, sighing quietly.
