  • Phoenix layed down, flattening her wings down even though it pained her to do so. They really couldn't afford a fight with guns at the moment

  • Suri quickly turned in the direction of the noise. She pulled back on the trigger and jumped behind a car for cover. She put away her SMG and ran to a ladder that lead to the roof of a bulding across the street. She reached for her sniper on her back and re-loaded the bullets. Looking through the scope she took a deep breath.

  • [align=center] OOC: Thanks Shire :). I thought this had died XD

    ---

Aron drew in a breath. Dang. This girl was trigger happy. His mind raced, frantically trying to find a way out of this. "Stay down," he whispered. "I'm gonna either save our lives or... Well... Get us killed." He sat up, slowly, carefully. "Don't shoot." He said loudly. "I don't wanna hurt you, but if you don't put the gun down..." He trailed off, letting the girl figure out the rest of the sentence.

  • OOC: Lol me too

IC: Suri aimed it at Aron's head when he stood up. She didn't shoot but she still kept her finger on the trigger. "Is this guy serious? All that yelling will attract more zombies then there already are." she mumbled to herself.

  • [align=center] "Why are you so angry?" Aron called down. "You do realise that a gunshot is far louder than my voice, right? So why don't you put that down so I can come down and sto yelling?"

  • Suri stared at the girl with wings. "Phoenix?" She made a weird face and walked over to the ladder that lead down to the ground. She walked over to the other building and walked towards her. "Well well, didn't take you long to get injured and almost die. You were out here for like what.... a few hours? Your lucky this dude saved your life. You call yourself a leader but you cant even take care of yourself."

  • Phoenix glares at Suri. Even the strongest could die out here, and she should know that "I don't know how you call yourself a leader when you show no sympathy, just a cold, crude façade to hide whatever is at your core." If only Phoenix hadn't let that Zed grab onto her wing-shattering its bones, then she could have escaped with minor injuries. And it wasn't her fault that her hands were burned every time she used her mutation for defense.

  • Suri walked closer "sympathy gets you no where in this world. There is no time for feelings, you should know that. There is no room for the weak in this world Phoenix. The weak die, heck even the strong die. But the heartless, they make it through, they shoot their friends in the head because they know its the right thing. They know that if they didn't, their friend would change."

  • [align=center] Aron grimaced. Hmmph. Shooting friends in the head. No, he definitely didn't want to think about that now. He had changed. For the better he hoped. "Look, we can stand around arguing or we can get somewhere safe. No doubt zombies will have heard the noise, and are on their way. And, quite frankly, I don't have it in me for another battle," he said, an edge creeping into his voice. Crap. This was not a good time to get emotional. The past was the past, and nothing could be done to change that.

  • Phoenix reluctantly agrees "Ok, but I have to get home by tomorrow morning" she says thinking about the people that would begin to worry. It wasn't uncommon for her to go out and not be back for a couple of days, getting supplies like the other scavengers in the Eternal Flames, she did her fare share of work and more without complaint.

  • [align=center] "Good," Aron said, glad that the previous topic bad been abandoned. "Anyone have any ideas? Normally I'd be back home- if you can call it that- by now, but I got a little... Distracted." He bodded towards Pheonix.

  • She sighs "Sorry" she mumbles, she looks out over the edge of the building before pointing to another building top that seemed to have tents perched atop it that had an orange flame painted on the dull canvas. "There, its a scouting camp from my clan, we will be safe there, its only a few blocks away too"

  • Without another word Suri turned around and climbed off the building. She took out her guns and snuck off into the darkness "I'm so stupid, I let my pride put me in danger." She said to herself.
