  • [align=center] "Hey! You!" Asuna yelled after the departing sniper. "You helped too, so... My offer still stands. If you're hungry, we have a bit of food to share. It isn't much, but food is food, after all." She looked towards Phoenix, a hint of a smirk on her face. "As for getting more sleep... I'll try, but I'm not sure how much good it'll do."

  • Suri glanced backwards "well, alright if you insist" she said smirking. She turned and walked towards the others "I cant be too long though. I have to return back to my camp before sundown."

  • [align=center] OOC: My muse hath recovered!

"Follow me," Asuna said. "Of course, I can't take you to our base- only an idiot would- but, obviously, it's not safe here. I know of an abandoned warehouse, kind of a neutral ground, where a lot of the loners stay. I have some... Friends in higher places, so you can wait in a private room while I get the grub." She started in an easterly direction, her knife drawn, but her hand held discreetly at her side. One could never be too cautious, especially since zombies weren't the only dangers roaming these streets.

  • Phoenix turned her head to the sky, she still had some time before she had to head back to camp. It couldn't hurt to go with the alpha, could it?

  • Suri followed carefully. She looked behind them every once in a while just to make sure. "So about this place were going to. There's not going to be a bunch of people waiting there to ambush us."

  • [align=center] "You're sure you don't wanna come with us?" Asuna called back to the Infernus. "Even if you don't stay, you could at least bring some food back to your group." She shrugged. "Not that I'm implying that you need it, or anything. I'm sure you've got plenty. But it can never hurt to have some extra, right?" She raised an eyebrow, and would've crossed her arms had it not been for the knife she was holding.

  • Suri sighed "are we there yet?" she complained and held her stomach. "My belly is going to start growling soon." She took out her pistol and started spinning it on her finger to keep her occupied.

  • Phoenix eyes flared at Asuni's comment "Just as long as its not a trap I will be coming" she says walking up to where they were walking. She tightened her hands into fists and then back flat out over and over again, trying to work out the pain in her palms without actually taking the bandages off. When she got back to camp she would need the doc to look at them, she decides.

  • [align=center] "Naw, I don't think it's a trap," Asuna said. "But, then again, I could be wrong. Nobody's perfect." Glancing back at Suri with an amused grin, she said, "You sound like an annoying kid from..." Her voice took on a more solemn, sad tone as she finished the sentence. "From before all this." She gestured at their surroundings before suddenly becoming very preoccupied with shining her knife.

"We're here," she said, stopping in front of a large building, her hands on her hips. It had been an office building at one point, but the top had been blown off during the attack. A narrow trail had been cleared through the rubble. She made her way to the door, pudhing it open without bothering to knock. A few people glanced up at her arrival, but quickly turned back to their meals and gambling.

"You seen Aron?" Asuna asked a rather grungy man standing against a wall. He shook his head. "Naw. Think 'e went ou' scavenging." She sighed, then shrugged. "Feel free to grab any one of those rooms over there," she said to the Suri and Pheonix. "If anyone asks, you're here with me. I'll be back soon."

  • Suri smiled and ran over to the food "aw yeah I am starving!" she said and grabbed a bunch of stuff. She turned around and saw everyone staring at her "what?" she said and sat down on the floor "I don't like chairs" she mumbled around the food in her mouth "they are so uncomfortable."

  • Phoenix shrug as she goes into one of the rooms Asuni had gestured to. She kept a care free demeanor around her, though her lava like iris that never stopped swirling gave a malicious feel to her presence. She kept her wings loosely untucked to have an air of confidence around her. All and all she looked like someone who if you even looked at her wrong would toast you to a crisp. Though of course, that was not true, but she had to keep up her appearances around strangers.

  • [align=center] Asuna glanced around as she stood with her fingers poised over the keypad. Normally she would just freeze time, a surefire way to keep anyone from seeing the code, or the keypad itself, for that matter, but she didn't want to risk passing out with it exposed. Anyone with any sense would steal a piece of technology like this and sell it. Or keep it. Gadgets and gizmos were rather rare in these times.
