    "Hey!" Her father exclaimed.
    "What? You said we were doing battle moves!"
    "Oh, Starpaw. Let's do a defending move."
    Starpaw prepared herself. "Am I supposed to attack you?"
    "Yes." Nightfur straightened himself up. "Then I will do a defending move on you and then you can try."

    Ic: Nightfur twitched his tail as Starpaw crept forward. Her eyes flickered from him to his weak spots. Then she attacked him from the side but he was faster. He twisted his body and flung his apprentice on the ground, enough to daze her but not harm her. Starpaw smiled.
    "I love that move!" she purred. "Without it, if you were an enemy, you would be crow food by now."
    Nightfur smiled. "Now your turn."

    "Nightfur? You know what I wish?" She asked.
    The tomcat glanced at his daughter. "What do you wish?"
    "That Mother were here to see me now."
    For a moment, Starpaw thought she saw a hint of anger when she mentioned her mother but then it faded and was replaced by grief.
    "I miss her too, Starpaw."
