Shadekit looked around as she slowly padded in the forest. She still had no luck in finding her brother. "Darkkit! Darkkit where are you?!" She yelled. "-Mom's gonna be furious if we don't return to Camp soon!" She suddenly came to a halt when she picked up an unfamiliar scent lingering. She cautiously looked around her surroundings. 'What's that scent?.. I've never smelled it before.' She thought to herself. She heard a faint growl behind her. She whipped around, finding herself 5 mouse-lengths away from a Fox. Her eyes widened, before she turned around and ran as fast as she could. It followed her, never breaking a sweat. She screeched, hoping someone could hear her. "Help! Someone! Please!!"

Hearing her cry, Darkpelt immediately began to run at full-pelt, leaving Wavepaw in the dust. He quickly caught up with the two of them. After both of those very fast runs, Darkpelt was absolutely exhausted, but still managed to kick his speed up another notch. When he gauged the remaining distance between himself and the fox and deemed it close enough, he leapt, tackling the fox to the ground.
"Shadekit!" he called. "Darkkit is back at camp already back at camp! You should follow his example!" He was giving the fight his all, now.
"I can't hold him down much longer!" he shouted to the frightened kit "Run! NOW!" With that, he fought tooth and claw against the surprised fox, and winning as well.

Sandpaw dropped Darkkit inside the nursery "Don't worry Snowfawn the others are looking for shadekit as we speak"

Clawpaw trotted around camp.
Spottedflower perked her ears, she was in the woods, hunting.
Cavefang stretched in a nice patch of sun.

ic: Wavepaw sprinted towards Darkpelt, and picked Shadekit up, seeing as she was in no condition to run back to camp, and placed her on the lowest branch of a nearby tree. He mewed, "Stay there Shadekit, until we get rid of the fox!" He whipped around and flung himself on the fox, flipping it over. He lunged at it's neck but quickly ducked down and snapped it's leg with his jaws, to break its leg. He then proceeded to pull that trick on the fox's other leg and as it fell on its broken front legs, he tried to bite its neck.[/fancypost][size=7pt][glow=black,2,300]...[/glow][/size]

Suddenly, Darkpelt tackled his friend to the ground, the fox limping away the best it could.
"That's enough, Wavepaw!" he exclaimed. "The fox has learned its lesson, let it be!"

It took Darkpelt until a few steps past the camp entryway to realize just how exhausted the two chases and the fight made him. As he stepped past the threshold, he began to sway, and his vision became very blurry. He looked up, ready to call out to Wavepaw the best he could, but collapsed on his side instead. The last things he heard were the worried voices of Wavepaw, Shadekit, and a few others calling out to him, and his own hopes that Wavepaw would tell the clan leader everything that had transpired.
Then, everything went black...
