    Because Jiox didn't move forwards to lead Polar did instead and lead the way out of camp following the scent of deer.

    "Thats what I was afraid of", Nova barked, "I hope Jiox, Polar, and Zero and can bring back another deer so that we won't starve".

    "How are your herb stores? Are they stocked up?", Nova asked the healer wondering if there was anything Moonracer needed before the storm hit.

    "I don't know. I am going to go check." Moonracer quickly popped into and out of her den. " Almost everything is well stocked except wild mint. I think I will go get some, because cough and chill season is starting again."

    "Ok, do you need any help gathering it?", Nova asked and turned to Starlight when she heard the pup say hi."Well hello little one, how was your nap?", she asked smiling at the pup.

    Trailing after Polar, his throat was dry. Was he getting a cold? Even if he was coughing his head off he wouldn't go to the medicine den. he HATED healers.
    Swallowing he felt his legs sink into the snow, grumbling in complaint his sharp nose caught the scent of Deer. Three wolves. One deer?

    "So." His voice was rough, "What's the plan?"
    Polar wasn't dumb enough to go around without a plan, surely he must've thought of one.

    "Greetings, little pup." Moonracer smiled awkwardly down at the pup. "Yes, actually I think I would like someone to help me with the mint." She continued saying to Nova.

    "Starlight, how would you like to go on a special warriors mission with me and Moonracer?", she asked the pup knowing that the pup would be a great help when carrying back the herbs.

    "Me and Jiox will move infront of the deer and I want you to stay behingd it. hen we get into postition I want you to chase it towards us. If we time it right we can bring down the deer in no time", Polar expained knowing that one bite to the deers life vein (jugular neck vein) would bring it down, not to mention the fact that there were two other wolves to help him kill it.

    He rose a brow, clearly surprised he got the main role of chasing the deer towards them.
    "Got'cha." He replied, blinking snow away from his eyes he took the steps towards the deer. His nose able to pin-point exactly where it was, he fell into a silent stalk. Each step full of stealth and precision, he made his way to the deer.


    This is it. He was behind it. Bracing himself as his hackles rose, breathing fastened. Ears pricked for sounds, aware that one false move would mean no prey.
    Letting new energy pour into his legs, he sprinted out from behind hiding. Snarling and snapping his jaws, rounding the deer towards them.


    Be ready for this.


    He prayed silently as he lunged at the deer's hind, feeling soft flesh in his mouth, pulling backwards furiously, hoping this would give them enough time. He tore and dug, not sure if they've already launched themselves at the deer or not.

    "Both of you my dears have the most important job. On our way to find it you must protect us, and then on the way back help us carry it back", Nova told the pup glad that she was eager to help.

    In his position Polar waited for the deer to near enough before lunging. Quickly he leaped for the deer his jaws latching onto its neck. Crushing down with all his powwer he searched for its life vein. The deer kicked at Polar hitting him in the ribbs making him grunt in pain. Clentching down harder he finally struck it letting blood gush out splattering onto his pelt. Now it was only a matter time before the deer would die.

    "We better get going, if we want to make it back before nightfall." Moonracer shook out her head and started towards the entrance.

    Polar was on, Zero could easily tell by feeling more weight onto the deer. Hearing a grunt, the deer must've kicked him. Digging his teeth in deeper, he felt a sharp buck to his stomach. Releasing his grip for a second he feared the deer would dash away to safety- but no.
    There was Polar, his fangs tightly clamped around the deer's neck, blood gushing out of one bite. He found the vein.

    "Nice kill." Zero congratulated gruffly shaking the snow off his pelt and licking the spot where the deer kicked him.

    Nova nodded and let the pups go first before bringing the rear.

    Thrashing his head from side to side he ripped and tore at the deers throat before letting go. "Thanks", Polar barked as he licked his chops watching the deer stagger to the ground.

    Moonracer began leading the small group to the best place to harvest mint. It was far away though so they could only make one or two trips. Moonracer started to lift her nose to the familiar scent of deer.

    The deer stumbled for a couple more heart-beats, before dropping to the ground, lifeless- dead.
    "Bring it back to camp?" Zero asked lowering his head, feeling his stomach rumble in hunger- again.
