    *Apples. There in season.* Cory said as he started shaking the limb. Apples fell from the tree.

    Verona jumped away, making sure the apples don't hit her."hey, watch where you shake those apples please." She retorted.

    Verona gave a warm smile and said," it's okay, but how are you going to carry all those apples?"

    He looked at her bag. Then his. Then the apples. *I guess we're eating these now...*

    ( Verona and Cory are packing up items, because soon they are going into a cavern that is protected by a Garchomp, to look for gold nuggets.)


    "That's fine with me." Verona replied, and took a bite out of a shiny red apple."mhm, it's delicious!" She exclaimed.

    Verona finished a quick bite and followed Cory. It was kinda quiet for a second, "How come you are coming towards the lake if you don't like water?" Verona asked, breaking the silence.

    *I like water its just I hate swimming... part metal you know.* He said laughing and tapping the spike on his cheast. It made a dull ring.

    Verona smiled and rolled her eyes,"ok.. Then" she retorted. A couple times she had to trot a little faster to keep up with Cory, but she didn't mind. Her paws hitting the ground made little rhythmic strokes in the grass.

    He stopped at the lake looking at the reflective surface. *Where is the entrance?*

    Verona pointed with her tail to a decent height rock on the other side of the lake,"there's a hole jetting below the rock, I'm pretty sure you can fit through." She replied.

    *Hey im not THAT big.* He said smiling. He walked toward the rock.

    Verona laughed, a second later she was the first one to reach the rock, she crouched down and scrambled under the rock through the hole. In a second she disappeared under, "woah!" Verona said, and a echoed followed after it. It was quiet for a second then you can hear a big splash.

    *Verona!* Cory shouted ignoring the splash. He jumped into the hole.

    Verona's head popped up from the dark waters, she barely heard Cory's call, when she heard him jumped. She quickly gave a big gasp for breath and ducked underwater.

    He splashed into the water. The sudden chill making him gasp and swallow some of the murky black pool. He sunk like a rock.

    Verona reached the surface and took a big breath of air, she noticed Cory wasn't there. She dived under the water and saw Cory drifting to the bottom. She used vine whip and grabbed Cory's shoulders. She struggled with all her might, and pulled him up to a nearby shore. She wearily climbed out, cold and wet she shook her fur and looked to see if Cory was okay.
