• Name: Nicole Violet Nightrose (Vi)

(Main) Patron god: Nike (Goddess of speed, strength and victory)

  • Raven Wood

Thirteen year old Raven Wood sat outside an old, rundown apartment complex, looking like a homeless person. His hair had grown out past his ears, and his clothes were old and ratty. His brown eyes, however, were bright as polished maplewood. People walked past, some shooting him glances of pity, others shaking their heads and muttering about the failing government. After a little while, he stood up, and went inside the building.

    Ooc~ I didn't know how to start... :-X

  • Ooc: What if they had met as children, aka in a few moments, and had helped each other survive a monster attack but then were separated until later?

Violet Nightrose let a few stinging tears role down her face. She looked up at the bullies who were walking away, snickering and jeering with success. Yes, Violet could get mad and exclaim how unfair everything was. Yes, she could probably beat the tar out of them, but Violet did not. Instead, the thirteen year old took a deep breath and picked up her books, carefully placing them in her bag. Quickly, as not to be seen, she left the school. She would easily be able to pick up her grades the next day, but for now it was best to be alone. If nothing weird happened again. Weird, meaning, two headed dogs roaming the streets while people pass right by it. Some idiots even waved and said hello. Of course, Violet's foster parents said nothing about it. Her 'dad' was the equivalent of a mother goat. Violet's mum was better, though, she sought care in her own way.

Ooc: I was going to make it a longer post, but for your sanity I did not.

Raven emerged from the worn down building after dark. That was his prime time. The time when he could go fight the monsters. He fondly fingered the stack of cards in his pocket as he walked down the street. .He pulled up the hood of his leather r jacket and looked around mysteriously. A gang car passed by, the whiff of weed stung his nostrils. After a few minutes he stood in front of a trailer park. This was the perfect place for monster killing. He sat on a large stone and waited, the stair of cards out and ready to use.

  • There was a park nearby, and at night the stars were clearly seen above. Promising herself not to be gone much longer, Violet walks swiftly towards the park. There was a kid sitting on her stone, for the past five years, that stone was her stone. Actually it was the good 'tax payers' stone, but we all know that's not true. That stone was where Violet always sat, the other benches were occupied by couples making out and undercover cops. So, as to not make things awkward, Violet would often sit on that rock and gaze at the sky. That kid had to leave, right now. Violet cleared her throat, tapping the boy on his shoulder.

Raven whirled around, sliding a card out of the deck and placing it against her throat. The edges of the care were razor sharp and glinted. "Don't. Move. A. Muscle." he whispered darkly, and then froze. The sound of wet slithering rang in his ears, he slid of the stone, pulled the girl behind him and held his card deck threateningly. "Monsters. Stay by me," he said, seeing a pair of giant glowing eyes.

  • Violet nodded, feeling for her dagger. It was rather hard being mushed between a rock thief and the rock. "You see them to," She whispers, her heart taking a leap. The silence was unsettling, Violet gently pushed pass Raven to stand by him. Of course, since he is a male, he would probably exclaim that she being of a weaker gender would need his protection.

Raven prepared himself for the beast, but what he saw was unexpected. It had three heads, possibly four counting the snakelike tail. "Get ready to run... or fight. We get in the back, slice off the tail. I'll take the front." he nudged her away towards the end and drew a card. He started leading it towards the street lamp. Once there he could use electricity.

  • I nod, a shiver of excitement coursed through my body. I had killed a dog before, on accident, but nothing else. Something told me the right moves would come by instinct, I sincerely hoped so. The creature looked more hideous and amazing than I had expected. It's tantalizing red eyes were so fierce but beautiful, call me weird. My long dagger was drawn and ready to strike once the boy gave me any signal.

Raven lunged backwards, flipping in midair, he landing unsteadily on his feet. The dragon head shot fire at his legs and he rolled forwards to avoid it. He started dishing out his extremely razor sharp cards. He ducked down as the lion snapped as his arm, and the goat's horn scrapped his upper thigh. Raven let out a groan of pain and rolled backwards. "How are we doing back there?" he shouted creating a sword out of the cards and slicing the head of the goat off.

  • Violet lunged forward at the striking snake. She wasn't as fancy in her tactics, just straight-forward and deadly. "I am doing fine!" she shouted back. In one movement, Violet bent backwards, sliding under the beast. She timed the seconds carefully, knowing that there would be a small time lap. "One," She whispers striking her knife upward into the snake's underbelly, "Two," Violet heard a sickening snap, "Three," she forcefully yanked upwards, splitting the snake. "And four," Violet rolled out of the way, her body jerking to the side.

The boy laughed wickedly, it sounded manic. "Time to die, *****!" Raven shouted, he sent Violet a secret look that said On three, one... two... THREE. When he said three, Raven sent the last of the deck slicing around the beast's entire body. "Stab it!" he shouted. "Then take cover!"

  • Violet had enough sense to do as she was told and jump like a kangaroo. She whisked around expertly guiding her dagger at the main part of the lion's body. Only one shot. She flicked her wrist, sending the dagger flying straight at the monster. Would it explode or something? She smirks, jumping back to her original position. " A bit melodramatic, don't you think?"

  • Raven hit the ground and shreds of golden powder exploded into oblivion. He stood up, held his hand out, all the cards slid up his shirt sleeve. He looked at Violet. "You know, life's melodramatic. What's your name? You make a great partner. Fighting partner, that is." he flipped the hair out of his eyes and smiled at her.

  • Violet brushed a strand of brown hair from her face. "My name is Violet Nightrose. Call me Vi." The girl stepped forward, observing the odd boy. "Sorry, I don't even know you."

  • Raven tossed his head back and laughed. "Raven Wood. Maybe I'll catch you later. Keep it up. If you need me," he tossed her a regular card with odd gold numbers on it. "I'll be there."

Ooc~ So now they are eighteen? And did we decide whether they go to CHB or not?

  • Violet knew she shouldn't keep the stupid card, but she did. Rolling her eyes, Violet slipped it in her pocket. "Nice to meet you Raven, stay out of trouble." She winked at the boy, turning around. Her dad would kill her, maybe do something worse for being home so late.

Ooc: Yes and sure, although how are we going to make it to where they are somewhat like enemies?

  • Ooc~ She could have called him a year late, but he didn't answer.

    Eighteen Years Later

Raven Wood sat high up in a tree by the lake, a couple of Ares kids down below. "I told you, I don't know who my parents are, and I am not fighting you because I wouldn't make out with Angela." he said in a bored tone of voice. It wasn't entirely true about the parent's part... he knew his parents were the Titans, but that wouldn't exactly be a popular subject to bring up. "Can you just leave me alone?" he had been treed for two hours already.

  • Violet had not slept all that night, it as a troubling thing especially here. Camp half blood was a curse and salvation, which was more she wasn't sure. The sound of fighting nearby was a common thing especially other that Ares camper. If it was up to Vi, she would've killed him by now. But the other campers didn't seem to fond of her, and that was only the first problem. Nervously, Vi twirled her bluestone necklace before confidently approaching the Ares kids. "You know what I love? A good old sandwich, Chuck, why don't you get me one, please?" This was also why the other campers avoided Vi, she wasn't an Aphrodite spawn but had a pretty convincing voice. It could only be used for positiv things, though.
