I smiled at her and chuckled, "Yes, I'll skin you alive." I kissed her right back and smiled, holding her tight when she stumbled into my chest. I stroked her cheek softly, "I'm just glad you are back, I've missed you." I looked down at the twins and looked at Rebecca, "Do you want to take a seat? You need to get your strength back." I wasn't taking no for an answer, I sat down and pulled her down gently next to me. I bent down and scooped up both kids, placing Brielle on hers and Colten on mine. I sat close to her so our legs were touching, I wasn't about to let her go again so I wouldn't.

I smiled and sat next to him gratefully. I knew he missed me and I wouldn't complain about anything. Once Brielle was put on my lap she giggled and hugged me so tightly I got the wind knocked out of me. "Mommy!" She cried and held on tightly as I warmed under her embrace. "Yes its mommy sweetie." I said gently prying her arms from my neck. I smiled at Jayden and laughed as Colten stared at his Daddy in adoration and happiness. "Daddy!" He happily squealed and snuggled right up to Jayden content to be home. Once I got settled, I heard an uncomfortable cough and I looked at the guy who brought me home. "Thank you sir. I appreciate it." I said geniunely grateful. He nodded and grinned, while he pulled out a package and handed it to me. "Here you go. My name is Adam. You need to eat those herbs every month for the next few months. It will help calm the magic within. Call me in 6 months time so I can check up on you." he said quickly and popped out of the place. Feeling my cheeks redden at what he said and what it could have meant to Jayden I looked at him begging him to listen. 'Jayden. I am pregnant.' I told him quickly in his mind before he could react violently.
-
I tickled Colten softly before I looked up at the man with narrowed eyes, I listened to his words slowly and carefully. I knew I was about burst with anger when what Rebecca told me in my mind made me freeze. I looked at her, then down at her stomach before I bit my lip to hold back the cussing and choice words. I was still angry at that Adam guy and I made it clear in my mind that I hated him. I wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her against my chest, "Well, I think we should all go get some sleep, we have all been through a bunch of ordeals tonight between a baby birth and family returning and I think we should all go get some shut eye, especially Miranda." Miranda got up holding Tyler and leaned heavily on Blake as they went upstairs, they had put a cradle in their room once they found out she was pregnant. I sighed and kissed Becca's cheek, "You need to get your strength up." Sadie and John stood up and went upstairs after Miranda and Blake, my parents followed and I lifted up Colten and stood up.
-
"I agree Jayden. I am exhausted." I told him lifting Brielled who now weight a ton to me. "I think our kids are tired too." I admitted as Brielle grew limper in my arms as the seconds passed. I could see Colten trying his hardest not to close his eyes as he sucked his thumb sleepily. I slowly headed to the stairs, slightly off balance. I managed to grab the railing before I lost my already unsteady balance. I shifted Brielle a little more comfortable as I made my way upstairs.
-
I smiled at her and nodded, "Alrighty." I stood and wrapped an arm around her waist to help her up the stairs, frowning slightly. Colten was in my other hand, his cheek on my shoulder because he had fallen asleep. After we reached the top of the stairs, I took Brielle from her and brought them both to their cribs. I laid each of them down then returned to our room where I flopped down on the bed and pulled the covers over me. I looked at Becca, "You know... Someday I'm going to break this bed and it will be a disaster." I chuckled and winked at her.
-
I gratefully let him take Brielle and I walked into the room and grabbed some clothes desperate for a change. I rolled my eyes and shut the door chuckling at Jayden. "I can see that Jayden. I don't Mary would like that. But then again, I am sure your father broke plenty of beds too." I pointed out stripping out of my disgustingly dirty clothing. They smelled like the river and I was tired of smelling like a river. I slipped on my pajamas and was slightly alarmed to see how baggy they seemed on me. Apparently the trip down the river and my illness had caused me to lose weight. I slipped into bed next to him pulling the covers over myself. "I've missed you Jayden. So much. I am so sorry I worried you." I whispered softly snuggling up against him letting his presence relax me.
-
I was starting to get groggy and I smiled at her, "I've missed you so much more, Rebecca. You might have worried me but I knew you would always find me again, we always find each other. There isn't any other way someone could tear us apart, not now not ever." I stroked her back softly and kissed her forehead, "I love you, my sweet Rebecca. I can't imagine a life without you by my side." I felt sleep pressure me into closing my eyes, I struggled to stay awake so I gave in and slipped into the deep deep sleep that my body needed.
-
I smiled into his chest, almost too tired to respond to anything he said. "I love you too Jayden." I whispered drowsily as I felt him drift off to sleep. "I can't ever imagine a normal life without werewolves, vampires, or witches anymore. This is my normal life now. And we have a family...." I trailed off with a faint smile on my lips. "With a little one on the way." I told him softly sensing the change deep within me no matter the lack of morning sickness and growth. I closed my eyes and finally let myself sleep in Jayden's arms.
-
It wasn't a secret to two scientists, werewolves existed and they needed to know how and why they did. They only knew of one and decided to take him tonight for experiment. They opened the bedroom window and snuck in as quiet as mice, they walked up to the man with his wife and stuck a needle into his arm, knocking him out cold. There was a smile on their faces, two man eager for power and respect. They lifted him up like he was nothing and carried him out the window. They blindfolded, cuffed with silver handcuffs and shut him in the back of their honda pilot. They knew all about this man, his connection with his wife and his children but all they wanted was him, so they put something that would disconnect him from his wife's mind for as long as they wanted in the liquid that knocked him out. They couldn't risk anything happening, they were the worlds smartest and bravest. They made sure this wolf man was theirs and no one could take him from them. They drove to an airport and boarded a flight with their wolf man in the luggage area in the bottom of the plane. Once they reached their destination, they unloaded and got their wolf man, driving to their science lab to begin their work. They locked him in a cage in the lab and left the silver handcuffs on him but took the blindfold off.
-
I shifted slightly not waking up for the entire thing. But when I woke up I looked at the empty spot, blankly. I had thought he didn't want to leave my side and that hurt me tremendously. But when I reached for him in my mind, I felt nothing. No connection. Nothing but emptiness. I let out a screech of alarm jumping out of bed hyperventilating. But I fell off the side causing a ruckus. "Jayden!!!!" I wailed clutching the bedsheets to keep from tearing into my skin. "No...." I moaned, disconnecting from the real world trying my hardest to make Jayden to listen to hear me. "Jayden answer me!" I screeched clawing at someone who had apparently heard the noise and was trying to figure out what was happening. "Noo....He can't...he can't be dead..." I gasped and turned into the muscled chest and began to sob my heart out. This was all wrong. This wasn't supposed to happen. I just got back to him and now he was dead.
-
David winced when she clawed at him but refused to let her go, "My son? He's dead?" He asked quietly and held her tightly while she cried into his chest, "Becca, you must tell me what-" he caught a whiff of a smell that wasn't Jayden's. He walked to the window, dragging Becca with him, he sniffed and gagged, "He isn't dead... He was taken by people that smell like chemicals and rubbery cords. They know he's a werewolf no doubt, they've taken him to be experimented on." David looked out the window, "We have been found."
I woke up and shifted on a metal floor, I opened my eyes to a man staring at me, "You-" he hit me hard, stay still, we are taking some of your blood. Don't worry, you can barely feel it." I panicked and the other scientist smiled, "Fred, once we find out how he shifts, we can control his every move." Fred laughed and his friend smiled, "I love how you think Joe, it's really quite brilliant." Joe smiled and they both chuckled and left my cage holding a bag of my blood. I struggled to get up, the handcuffs sending jolts of red hot pain down my arms and I knew immediately that they were made of silver. I managed to sit up but I was weak and shaky, "How do you know me?" I asked them angrily. Fred bent down while Joe ran tests for the blood, "My dear Jayden, we have followed you since your wife got that concussion and we saw you shift, you were very sloppy. We have studied your life and decided to take you because the others didn't matter much, you started this all for us. We plan big things for you beyond your wildest dreams, we will control you, breed you with werewolf woman and start our generation of a werewolf army." I got angry at that and launched at him, growling and spitting, he didn't move and just smiled, "Don't worry, you won't remember your old life once we take over your mind." My mind. Rebecca, I realized that I couldn't get to her and I put my fingers to my temples, but there was nothing. Fred laughed, "Oh don't you worry about your wife, we blocked her from your mind completely, she won't ever be able to go back in." I looked at this man, a million curses about to come out when Joe screamed, "I know how to control him! Hook him up to the machine."
-
I shook my head tears still rolling down my face. "How can he be alive when I can't even reach him?!" I shrieked pointing to my head miserably. The aching loss of the presence in my mind went far beyond the connection it once held. It hurt and it was breaking me. I could now understand how Mary felt all this time. The imprint wasn't there, and yet I remembered and it hurt to remember. It was as if he were dead and I could bear it like Mary could. "The imprint is gone!" I continued to wail banging my fist weakly against his chest. "I can't feel him. He's not here. He's dead!" I continued to carry on, unable to look past the pain and the sudden nausea I gained from being upset and possibly the child. I stared brokenly at the bed where we had slept. "I am pregnant David. There's a third child on the way." I mumbled placing a hand on the stomach that held Jayden's and my third child. I knew it was a single child. But without Jayden I didn't know what to do anymore.
-
David held her close and tried to calm her down, "Becca, Becca, Becca. Wait a minute, think for a second. If scientists took him then they wouldn't kill him, they wouldn't kill him when they have a powerful beast in their hands." He sighed and took the beating to his chest, he stared at her with shock, "Third child? You are going to have his third child?" His face hardened, "We have to find him. You need the strength to keep going while we look, okay?"
Fred and Joe strapped me to a chair and hooked up a bunch of cords, they talked and laughed giddily, they were excited for this. Fred walked up and pressed a button on his control panel and my mind opened up to Rebecca. I could feel her in my mind and I was too weak to hold her from seeing this. Joe laughed, "We decided to let your wife see what wonderful things we have planned for you, but don't worry we blocked her from feeling the pain your about to feel." I grunted and watched as he pressed a button and I shock went through my body, my brain felt like it was burning as memories started to get erased and replaced with fake ones. It stopped and I still had a few left to remember Rebecca and my family, Joe laughed, "Say goodbye wifey!" He laughed like a Christmas elf would except it was pure evil. Fred smiled, "He will be our breeding machine, our killing device. We will so take over the military!" I watched him press the button, so weak that I couldn't speak or move. The seconds shock erased everything, everyone from my memory until I only knew my name, Rebecca was out of my mind again. The scientists had put in fake memories that they raised me from a small boy and I listened to everything they said, I obeyed their every command.
-
I stared at David sadly. "Yes. Its going to be a witch or so I believe. I dream about her..." I whispered avoiding eye contact, tears rolling down my face. "If he's alive please find him..." I whispered right before his mind was opened. "Jayden!" I cried ignoring Mary storming into the room like there was a tornado. I tried to contact him, to tell him to come back to me. But the connection was wierd. It was almost like it had been forced open. I watched in horror at the doctors as they shocked the memories from Jayden. "Stop!" I screeched, feeling the magic well up inside of me, coming towards my fingertips. I was watching and experiencing all the memories of me get wiped out of Jayden's mind. Even the connection slipped, but it didn't stop me from trying to blast those scientists to oblivion. However, I had forgotten I wasn't there myself and would be blasting David to Oblivion. "Get your filthy claws off my husband, you filthy lab rats!" I screeched clawing for the connection that faded. Desperate, I raised my hand and shot a firey blast to where I thought I saw the scientist.
Mary watched in horror as Becca began to lose it. She was not only panicking, but her emotions were leaking from her. She was reflecting her emotions through her magic. As Mary struggled to endure the heartbreak, she watched her become more and more upset. her eyes held a far away look. Her magic began to gather on her hands, and Mary began to get an uneasy feeling. Whatever she was doing, she was lost in the connection and she didn't see what was doing. Quickly Mary saw her raise the hand towards David, and Mary ran towards David to knock him out of the way. "Watch out!" She screamed as the fire blasted past her hair sizzling the end of her hair.
-
David sighed and looked at Mary when she came in, he had a look on his face that signaled how lost he was after he couldn't figure out what was going. He looked lost and afraid that she would hurt herself, "Mary isn't there something you can give her?" He was watching the magic in her hands and panicked, but refused to move, he didn't have time. He gasped when Mary pushed him out of the way and he panicked, "Are you alright, Mar?" He asked her nervously, making sure she wasn't hurt.
There was a frown on my face, "Why am I in a chair?" The scientists helped me out and injected me with some fluids that made me stronger. I stared at them expectantly and they let me out, "Shift." They told me and I did, they laughed and high-fived. I looked at them happily, and nuzzled their legs, they looked at me happily. Joe spoke, "Good boy, go get us the newspaper, okay?" As I padded out, I heard them say, "Don't say anything about his past, he might remember. I barely thought anything of it, I trusted them. I retrieved the newspaper and brought it back to them happily. They patted my head and told me if was a good boy and they would get me a mate soon. I wagged my tail at the mention of 'mate' and let my tongue hang out, I was excited for a mate because of my fake memories. They looked at me and both got on my back, "Since we are in Canada, my boy, you need to go for runs in the woods and their is plenty of trees for cover. I took off with them on my back and ran as fast as I could through the forest.
-
I stared incomprehensibly at the hole I had just created in the house. I was still partially lost trying to find my special connection. I was losing hope and I was losing my sanity. I barely heard David and Mary. I knew I had aimed at them, but I didn't say anything. I was falling into a pitch black oblivion. Without my anchor, I was drifting out further and nothing would hold me to this world. I could feel magic in my veins, and I could kill myself if I wished. But something weak held me here. It was weak, but strong enough to bind me here. "He's gone." I mumbled softly. "His memories gone." I whispered and turned away from David and Mary listlessly walking out of the room. I felt like my mind was blasted apart by a bomb and then salt rubbed in it. I followed the tiny connection to the nursery where two children laid there peacefully. I looked at the girl without much thought. But I saw Colten, and a flare of something hit my mind. I lifted the sleeping child out of the crib and held him in the rocking chair humming softly, trying to grasp at my sanity. But it evaded me everytime.
Mary groaned as the push had hurt her already stiff legs. "I'm fine Davie. Just forgot I am not as young as I used to be." She moaned sitting up slowly looking at the hole in the wall and rubbed her throbbing knees. "I think my hair got singed and that was it." Mary sighed watching Becca walk aimlessly out of the room. "I think she doesn't need anything right now. She's a zombie. It's worse than what I went through. Jayden's still alive, but she can't reach him, and she feels hopeless. We need to find Jayden fast. I don't know how long she will be like this until she tries to hurt herself." Mary whispered sadly.
-
David sighed and helped her up, "I'll track him down with Blake and the other two, we will find him. Don't you worry, what's the worse they can do besides wash his memories?" He froze and gasped, "They wouldn't do that... They can't." He looked at Mary with a terrified face, "If they found a female werewolf shifter, he wouldn't remember he's imprinted. Then the imprint would be broken. We have to go now, love you." He kissed her and ran from the room, gathering up the other three werewolfs and bursting out of the house. They tracked him to the airport and checked what plane left around that time. 'Canada,' he was in Canada, a brainwashed zombie and a ghost of the man he was. They took the next plane there and tracked down the lab, they found it and waited outside while David called Mary, he waited for her to pick up.
I was in a cage, happily tearing apart a deer they killed for me, I was still a wolf and I had clothes next to me for when I was finished. Once I was done, I shifted into human and got dressed, the scientists came in and started running some tests. My face was full of the animal blood and it was always like that for me, or as much as I could remember. I curled up and went to sleep.
-
Once David left, Mary tried her hardest to talk to Becca. But all she said to her was a bunch of gibberish. She seemed to refuse caring for Brielle who was confused and unhappy. Mary tried to calm Brielle down who just cried and cried. She was confused by how her mother was acting. Mary began to gather that Colten reminded Becca of Jayden, the only reason why she refused to let go of her son. As Mary tried to calm down the screaming Brielle, she heard her phone ring and she picked it up trying to stifle the noise. "David? You found him yet?" She asked quickly and quietly.
I was half aware of what was around me. Brielle seemed to be upset from my lack of interest in her. I ignored mary for the most part, too tired to keep a conversation going. Even hanging on to Colten who sensed Brielle's unhappiness began to turn into a chore for me. This wasn't getting me anywhere near sanity and I was beginning to question certain things that I knew if Jayden was there, I wouldn't be questioning.
-
David sighed when she picked up, "Yes, we did find him. We are rescuing him now, they had taken him to Canada. No one takes our son and gets away with it." He hung up and shifted back into a wolf, the four of them made a mental battle plan with each other before they put it into action. Each of them took a window, David jumped through his first and slammed into one scientist that had Joe written on his coat. He launched at his throat and killed him, the other three cornered the one with Fred on his nametag, they all attacked at once and killed him. David shifted into a human and put on clothes, grabbed his sleeping son as Blake dumped kerosine everywhere and set it on fire. They left in a hurry and went to the airport, Jayden sleeping heavily in his father's arms. He was different in a way, the way his facial expression had changed from hardened to a lovesick puppy was crazy weird. They all go on a plane and flew home, once it landed, they got a car to drive them all home. David carried his son inside and placed him on the couch, he sent Blake upstairs to get Mary and Becca. He walked in and looked at them, "We found him and returned with him. You might want to see him now before he wakes up."
-
Mary nodded watching them bring her son in. She could see the change in him and it hurt. She knew it would be hurting Becca too. "Come on Becca. You need to see him." Mary told the young woman, who seemed to be extremely distant for the first time she met her. She had put Colten back in his crib and moved like a zombie would. Mary followed and knelt beside her son, wiping the blood from his face like any mother would do. She then stopped and looked over at Becca wondering what her reaction would be.
I heard them come back from the hunt for Jayden with him, and I wasn't exactly sure I wanted to see him. The connection between us was still vacant and I wasn't sure if they were pulling my leg to get me to move. But once I saw my husband, I heard myself let out a strangled cry and knelt beside him clutching his hand crying terribly. I knew when he woke up, there was a huge possibility he was still brainwashed and wouldn't remember me. So I kissed his forehead and held on to his hand for as long as I could. "Please remember me Jayden. That is all I am asking for." I whispered sadly tears running down my face constantly.
