Alexandra looked over to her brother, Basil. They were both sharing a cage in the newly abandoned mall due to them being nearly inseparable. Her collar jingled as she padded over to join him.
" Hey, Basil! " The black and white cat meowed to her similar looking brother.
Basil looked over at his sister, it seemed odd how she had grown long fur while he was stuck with his ugly short coat.
He nodded at her greeting before looking around, it seemed like there were other cats around but, he didn't know them. All he knew was that the people were gone and hadn't come to take care of them like usual.
The eight month old tom was about ready to ration their cat food, the humans had left two bowls of food and water but, well, his greedy sister had started to eat quite a bit of it.
OOC : Hey, maybe we can organize the page a bit more, right?

Pinecone yawned and pressed her nose against her cage.
Mathew stretched and called out "Hello?".

Alexandra pricked her ears up. " Hello... " She replied towards the new cat. It had sounded a bit like a tom, but, she was never really interested in having a mate.
Basil was confused about hearing the other cat's voice, he couldn't exactly tell where they were. " Who are you? " The tom called out cautiously.

"Up top." Mat mewed rather loudly,"My sister is next to me."
Pinecone glared at Mat and hisses softly "We might no be able to trust them."

Alexandra padded over to the food bowls and took a few quick bites, it seemed like her brother was trying ration things without letting her know.
The she-cat already figured out about what her brother was doing.
" Hey do you think we could get out? " She asked.
" Alexandra, I'll go test the latch on our cage. " He meowed.
Basil looked at the latch, his eyes were full of curiosity.

Mathew walked up to the edge of the cage and lifted the latch up pushing the door open he fell on to the bottom.
Pinecone peeked over and jumped elegantly down staring at the other cats.
Forestkit played with her siblings.

Alexandra looked down at the tom who had fell. " You okay? " She asked. The she-cat hoped that the tom would open her cage latch for her and her brother.
Basil lifted out his paw in an attempt to open the door, it didn't work for him so he sighed and walked back over to his sister.

Mathew went over to her cage and nosed the door open,"Push and it swings." he mewed as he went to go explore.
Pinecone started to look at the silk cat beds and expensive looking collars.
Forestkit stopped playing and started to wander outside of camp.

" Wow! " Alexandra purred as she started to follow Matthew's instructions. She hopped out of the cage and looked around the shop. " Maybe, we could live here! " She decided that she would live here.
Basil followed after his confident sister who was sniffing various shop items. " I'd live here, I suppose. " He murmured.

Mathew nodded,"I think I know just the place." he mewed. Flicking his tail for the others to follow.
Pinecone jogged up "Maybe we could help kits." she mewed softly.As she looked around noticing the stores.

Alexandra nodded at the suggestions of the other two cats. She trotted up to Matthew.
" I suppose. " Meowed Basil as he followed after the others.

Pinecone fell back next to Basil and asked Quietly "Is she the talkative one?
Mathew looked at the stores until he found the one with the two-leg bedding and clothes.

Alexandra looked around the store. Her green eyes scanned the beds carefully. " I want to live here! "
Basil nodded at Pinecone's question.

Mat nodded "Isn't it awesome!" he asked as she jumped onto a bed.
Pinecone glanced at him the to Alexandra "Want to come explore with me?" she asked.

" Sure! Basil, you stay here, alright? " She called to her sibling.
Basil nodded and went to go follow after Matthew.

"So where would you like to sleep?'" Mathew mewed as he paced around looking for some fuzzy bedding for his sister.
Pinecone stepped on to the escalator, it ran on solar-power so it still worked.

Alexandra tentatively placed a paw onto the moving staircase. She started to leap onto it and stood still with fear.
It seemed odd to her how it was moving, the stair-case at her old home never moved.
Basil looked around before stopping at a bed with some spotted sheets.
Although he was a bit shy, he loved bright colors and patterns.
