    Ashfrost shrieked with horror and pain. He could hardly believe that the Softheart he knew and loved was attacking him. "Softheart! Stop! It's me, Ashfrost!" he coughed, pulling himself away from her claws.




    Rushwind pushed his paws into Darkcloud's shoulders, making her muzzle bury into the dirt. She hissed and lashed out at him, but the golden warrior darted out of reach. He landed a final blow to her flank that sent her skidding across the camp. The dark forest she-cat snarled before leaping away into the brambles. Drops of scarlet fell from Rushwind's pelt.
