The black-cat padded around the territory, that had the scent of dogs.
"What a disgusting scent." she meowed, padding around the
area. The area had many trees, and bushes, which made it easier
for the cat to hide.

A black dog named Dusk was sniffing around his pack's borders. Dusk stopped and tensed up when he smelled a cat. He sniffed the air again, and growled, "I know you are here, pesky cat!"
-
The cat stayed calm, "Here we go, with the classic routine." she meowed,
and climbed up a nearby tree watching the sniffing dog trying to find her.
"I'm up here dog!" she called out to the dog. -
Dusk looked up at where the sound was coming from. He noticed she was up a tree. I'm a dog... I can't climb trees! he thought angrily. "Come down here and fight, instead of being such a coward!" he growled, his teeth showing.
-
"coward? I wouldn't call it being a coward, I would call it 'natural instinct',
but, if you want me to... Oh, do you mind if I call a little friend of mine?" -
Dusk had his fur fluffed, and his haunches raised. "Why are you even on our territory anyways?! I don't care who you call, as long as they are off our territory!"
-
"The reason I am here, is to save your furry behind. There is going to be a great fire, believe it or not." she meowed, cleaning her paw.
-
Dusk unstiffened slightly and barked, "Why should I trust you?"
-
"well, you don't have to... if you want to be killed. It's better to be safe, then sorry."
-
Dusk considered this for a moment. If I let this cat manipulate me... Dusk sighed and decided to play the game. "You have a point, cat. But be warned... I am not your little toy." he snarled the last part.
-
"OF course your not." she hissed and climbed higher into the tree.
-
"Tell me more about this fire." Dusk barked, he sat down, his eyes studying the cat carefully.
-
"Well, I have been walking around the two-leg's territory
to find them planning on setting fire to the forest. So they can expand
there territory." she explained, looking down at the dog. -
Dusk tilted his head and said, "That's rat-brained. They already have plenty! Enough Thunderpaths for their monster to roam... So many fences that contain their dens!"
-
"That's the dumb thing about them, it's like they want to take over the world!"
she meowed. -
Dusk nodded his head towards the cat and said, "I will tell my Alpha this information... If he agrees, we will flee as soon as possible." He paused then barked, "Do you have a pack, cat?"
-
"'pack'? yes, a clan." she meowed.
-
Dusk nodded and murmured, "You cats are always up to no good." He picked at the dirt beneath his paws.
-
"Don't think I cannot hear you, but it's true sometimes." she meowed,
briefly looking at the squirrel that scrambled up the tree. -
"Is that the true reason you were on our territory? Just to warn an enemy about a fire?" Dusk questioned.
