Don't you guys have snow? [med cats please]

    An unfamiliar white tom padded into ShadowClan's camp. His white fur looking out of place but back home it didn't stand out so much. It was great for hiding in the snow that fell in the mountains where SnowClan lived. "Inkdrop? Hawkcry?" he called for the medicine cats. Paradisefalls looked worn out and tired as he'd traveled here as quickly as he could hardly stopping to rest. The SnowClan medicine cat sat down but flicked his tail impatiently. He needed to get back to his clan but not before he got some help. His herb store had been ruined and he had a kit with blackcough.

    "hello?" the entertainer queried curiously, advancing towards the ivory splashed tom with cinnamon paws. "may i ask your name and business?" copper added mildly, smiling and twitching his tail in greeting.

    Paradisefalls glanced up at an unknown tom who had called out and advanced. The weary medicine cat remained where he was. "I'm Paradisefalls, medicine cat of SnowClan. I need to speak to Inkdrop and Hawkcry, I need some herbs," he said.

    "What kind of herbs? Why?" Secretkit asked with a bright gleam in his eyes. Sure he wasn't a medicine cat apprentice, but he was just so curious.

    "Hey, bro, you need help with something?" the medicine cat apprentice inquired, flicking his brown tabby tail as his green eyes skimmed over the SnowClanner's form with mild interest.

    Paradisefalls was unsure if he should answer the kit when Nineteenseventy came over. He smiled at the kit then turned to address the apprentice. "Yes actually. My den got a leak in it and ruined most of my herbs. There is a kit in my clan who has come down with blackcough and I'm running out of catmint to treat him. An early freeze killed off the only catmint plants in our territory. Would you be able to spare some for me?" he asked.

    "Sure, I think we can spare a bit," the brown tabby mewed with a nod. "I'll be right back." He hurried back to the medicine den and assessed the herb stock. They did, indeed, have a surplus amount of catmint, which he knew would come in handy as they descended deeper into leaf-fall and leaf-bare. Niney returned to Paradisefalls and dropped a small bundle of the herb at the older medicine cat's paws. "Will that be enough?"

    Paradisefalls waited for Nineteenseventy to return. He was much relieved to get some help. He wasn't sure if he could cure the kit from the blackcough but he'd sure try. He was worried for winter though. This would get him enough for now but if there was an outbreak of just about anything SnowClan would be in trouble. "Yes, plenty. Thank you, I really appreciate this. I might normally stay and rest before I head back but the sooner I get this to him the better, thank you," the white medicine cat meowed picking up the herbs. Nothing but pure gratitude filled his eyes. He hesitated long enough to await a reply if any before turning to leave.

    "Glad we could help. You're welcome to rest up in the medicine den for a few if you need to," Nineteen mewed with a blink.

    Paradisefalls set down the herbs so he could talk. He seemed undecided but looked very tired and worn out. "Maybe I should, if you wouldn't mind maybe just an hour or so rest would help," he said. "I can't stay longer than that to rest."

    "Thank you," Paradisefalls meowed before a new cat approached. He wondered how much rest he would actually get with curious ShadowClanners. "I'm Paradisefalls, it's nice to meet you to," he said.

    "Hi Paradisefalls!" Secretkit purred, staring at the SnowClan medicine cat, his green eyes wide and bright.

    "Hi," Paradisefalls meowed to the kit. Yeah he wouldn't be getting much real rest here but a break from the journey at least. He glanced over when Frozenice came in with herbs. It seemed ShadowClan had plenty, it was harder to find herbs when you had near constant snow.


    @Destrey: yes it is.

    "Paradisefalls?" He dimly recognized the medicine cat as he padded into the den. "What do you need?" He queried, before noticing the herbs. He winced. "Do you have greencough in SnowClan?" That would be horrible; greencough was hard to control and it could easily kill. "I'm sorry I came late. If you want, I could accompany you back to SnowClan. You look exhausted. Burnpaw, Kissingpaw and Nineteenseventy are easily capable enough to deal with the minor injuries of the day."

    Paradisefalls' usually happy demeanor was grim when the other medicine cat spoke. "Nineteenseventy supplied me with some of your herbs," he explained. "Yes we do, right now only one kit is sick but you know how fast it can spread. Normally we'd be alright but all my herbs were ruined from a leak in my den. I am exhausted it's a long trip here, if you are sure, I really would appreciate the help. By the time I get back I wouldn't be surprised if the green cough had spread."
