  • Flameheart was sleeping, but the wind in his dream was slowly fading around him, and slowly his mind was dragged back to the real world.

He opened his eyes slowly, blinking twice before sitting up to see Poppyleaf, her luxurious fur gleaming in the sunrise's beams.

  • Poppyleaf saw Flameheart wakening into reality. "Good sleep, lazybones?" Poppyleaf teased. The tortoiseshell realized they had almost spent the whole day there. But she kept quiet. She had not told Flameheart how she felt about him.
    She had to.
"F-F-Flameheart?" she meowed. "Do you like me? I mean, more than a friend?"

  • Flameheart was shaken. He had just woken from a dream ,and now had to answer a question that he knew had been coming. If only she had waited until he was fully awake.

Flameheart had stiffened at the question, and he was forcing himself to loosen up, and relax. 'Answer the question!' His own voice in his own head nagged him, over and over again, until he burst.

"Yes." He said, quickly and awkwardly. "Yes, I do. I like you, much more than any friend I have and will ever have."

  • Suddenly feeling a boost of confidence, Poppyleaf took a breath. "Flameheart, before I said this, I wanted to make sure you feel the same way," she said. Go on! nagged a little voice inside her. "I love you, Flameheart, more than anything in this world. I would die for you."

  • Flameheart now felt slightly awkward - her display was much more elaborate. He took a deep breath in and purred, pressing his flank against her. "You don't know how glad I am about that," He said, carefully rolling each word out of her mouth and into her ear. "I would be truly lost without you."

  • Poppyleaf purred. She never felt so happy. As he spoke, she always feels a wave of affection for him.

  • ((Sorry I haven't been on for a few days.))

Flameheart felt more open now, like he could do or say anything. Now if only he could decide what to say to her. Nothing ever felt like it came out right if he was near her.

    ((Kits in the near future?))

  • Flameheart looked at the sky. The sun had just peeked through some of the mountains to the east of them, bouncing off the lake which made it look as white as snow.

  • I thought it was Flameheart. LOL =3

Poppyleaf nuzzled Flameheart. "I promise I'll never leave your side," she meowed.

  • ((Oops. I was tired that day apparently.))

"And I will never let you go." Flameheart said gently, intertwining his tail with hers.

  • Poppyleaf nuzzled him. She looked at the river. "I wonder how our kits will look like," she murmured.

  • Flameheart was surprised. "Are you..." He trailed off, not quite knowing how to finish the sentence, though it seemed obvious what he was trying to ask given the situation.

  • Poppyleaf blinked. "Sorry!" she apologized, her face blushing. "I was just....being.... uh..." she trailed off, lost for words.

  • "It's okay, I understand," Flameheart said, easing up a little. The thought hadn't scared him, but it just seemed out of the blue, not really in the moment. "I wouldn't mind if you were though." He said, meaning every word. He purred and stepped closer to Poppyleaf, breathing in her sweet scent mingled with the scent of the pine forest.

  • "Its the truth, and it always will be." Flameheart said, bringing his tail over to hers and stepping closer.

  • Flameheart turned to where Poppyleaf's eyes were staring. "What is that? It looks like a...star." He stared at the bright dot in the sky. 'How can it be there? Its mid-morning!' He blinked, but it was still there.
