Pausing, the abnormally large pup waited right outside of the lumber mill, wondering exactly what he was going to say. Then taking a large breath in, he finally barked,"Anyone up for a game of hide and seek?" This was gonna be fun, he just knew it would be. As the pup waited, he began thinking about the rules. What would they be exactly? Perhaps he could tweak the rules and make this game interesting.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify]"Yes, Yes! Hennessy! I want to play!" Violinkit squealed as she ran over to her friend was, well, she at least thought of them as friends. The brindled kitten enjoyed a good game every so often, so what was the harm in squealing over a game? She was a kit anyways. It wasn't exactly unusual.
-
"Well hello, Violinkit," Hennessy murmured, letting out a feline-like purr. "Take a seat," he barked invitingly to his little friend. "-and let's wait for some more cats to come." A lukewarm breeze swept through his fur and back into the midnight air current.
The pup looked up at the sky, searching for any clouds, yet he was surprised to find none. "Beautiful night," he murmured softly, motioning up towards the sky. -

[/fancypost] -
Hennessy gave Brokenpaw a brisk nod along with a smile. This would be a fun night, that was for sure.
|| really rushed
-
"I'll play too!" Came the cheerful voice of Tower, the large femme making her way over. Blue eyes bright, she attempted to nudge Brokenpaw as she went by. "Kudos, Brokenpaw," she mewed, referring to his recent apprenticeship. Sure, she didn't know any of these cats that well, but it was no reason to not be friendly.
[b]"So how do you play hide and seek? I've never actually played it before." -
Hennessy cleared his throat before starting. "This game of hide and seek will be different and it's called hide and squeak. Not literary though. So... Basically, the "hiders" are called "squeaks" or "mice" and the "seekers" shall be known as hunters. And you may already know which direction that this is going in." The pup paused to lick his chaps. "So mice will hide in clever places (though mind you, it has to be a safe place), and the hunter will attempt to catch his "mice". When he does, then the last one that was found is the hunter and recieves 1 point. The first one up to three gets 1,000 pieces of fresh kill." Though the pup wavered on the last part, the whole message came across pretty much everyone's minds most likely. That was how you played hide and seek, although Hennessy tweaked a couple of terms to make it perhaps a bit easier.
-
LuminousHeart padded over as well. "Hide and seek sounds like fun. I think I would like to play too" she meowed, with her usual smile plastered on her face. Sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws, she looked happily at her younger brother and favorite dog.
-
"Hey Lumn," Hennessy barked affectionately as he trotted down from his standing place to join her and the others. His dull claws clicked in an odd clicking rhythm as he did so. Luminousheart was his older sister. His older adopted sister. Most of their family weren't related to him by blood, for they were all felines. Yet, Hennessy didn't mind, for he loved his family just the same. Another thing was that he was always close to his older sister, Lumninousheart. It was merely something that was bestfriends-at-first-sight sort of thing. "Are there any questions," he added, surveying the crowd for a moment more.
-
"Hi, Nes" replied Luminous, happily. The white cat called her favorite dog Nes since she wanted a nickname for him. There was already an animal called Hen so that was ruled out. Nessy sounded like a girl name to her so that was also ruled out. But Nes sounded like a good nickname and that was why LuminousHeart started calling Hennessy, "Nes"
"I don't have any questions" she meowed. But of course other cats might have some so she sat down and also surveyed that crowd.
-
Tower listened politely as the canine explained the words, nodding periodically to show she understood. When he was finished she opened her maw to respond, right when one of the newest stealth-walkers padded up. Giving a nod, she watched with friendly eyes at the two siblings. Family was such a nice thing, something that Tower didn't exactly have. Her mother was dead, she hadn't seen her father around in ages and Deathbitten seemed to have disappeared as well. So that only left her dear sister Pocketpaw. Tower loved her, but just one family member wasn't enough.
When they had finished their exchange of greetings she spoke.
"Nah, I don't have no questions." -
"Alrighty then, let's play," the dog barked with his tail wagging back and forth with enthusiasm. "I suppose I'll be the "hunter" then?" He added quickly, scanning the crowd surrounding him with neutral brown optics.
-
Tower shrugged, the mountain of a cat not really minding who was It. Backing up a few steps so as to have a better start, she nodded.
"Sounds cool to me."
[no muse. Right in the morning before school isn't the best time to expect a great post from me. :/] -
"Sounds cool to me too" meowed LuminousHeart, looking at the other cats. She unwrapped her tail from her paw as she prepared to shoot out as fast as she could. The cat was just thinking to continue running for a long time and then find a hiding spot far away. To her, it sounded like a wonderful plan.
-
"Ready... Set... Go!" The dog barked, instantly lowering his head towards the ground where he could shield his vision for a few moments before he would go "hunting" for the "mice". This is gonna fun, he thought silently to himself. He was definitely going to enjoy himself.
-
Tower darted away, the awkward point trying to find the best spot. She wasn't sure how much time she had, since Hennessy hadn't counted, merely stated that it was time to go. Because of this she sprinted, stopping once she had made herself out of view of the off-white pup. Once this was done she found a tree. Toweringpaw faltered, the sister of Pocketpaw unsure whether or not to climb up the mighty tree. Her blue optics then focused on a little den in the ground, which she wrigglwd into. It seemed to be fairly barren, no scent around it. It seemed safe to assume no badger would lumber up later, but one could only hope.
-
Letting out a loud yawn, the pup continued to count. "One... Two... Three..." It was all apart of the normal game for Hennessy to count all the way up to thirty to give the others some time to be able to hide. I wonder where they're going to hide, he thought silently to himself. Well, I simply cannot wait to go look for them!
-
LuminousHeart sped away, following her plan. The trees blurred, the grass just looked like sheet if green as the cat ran. She was looking around , not looking at the ground and that was her mistake. This way she didn't notice a pebble on the ground which she tripped on. Ouch! Her face got scratched a bit and she didn't want to risk another fall. Spotting a tree, she climbed up it hoping this was far enough.
-
Seeing as no one was coming to find her, the sister of Pocket paw decided she could amp up her hiding place. Popping out to grab some leaves and other such debris she shuffled back in, covering the hole above to make it look a part of the floor. Once this was done she tried to still herself, as rustling would be an easy sound to pick up.
Then the waiting began. Tower found it hard to stay still, twitching her whiskers and then her tail, and then finally shuffling her paws impatiently. The high-energy she-cat wasn't good at staying still for a long time, and so this was a difficult task. In a way, this was harder for her then finding a spot in the first place.
