Glossfur trotted out of the reeds and stepped into the water. He sat down, letting his, well, glossy belly fur wave around in the river flow. He looked around for a bit, seeing several small fish swimming by. Glossfur put his chin in the water and waited until he saw a big, fat, pike fish! Excited, he lept at it and sank his claws on its upper body. The he yanked it out and carried it to shore in his jaws.
Glossfur walked back to the water and proceeded to lay down in the shallows. Sadly, there were no more pikes to be found. But there certainly were plenty of trout! He lept forward again and plunged his jaws into the river. They came back up with a small trout in between them. Then he waded back to the sand and set it down. This time he did not go back, but laid on his back and let the sun warm him.
This is the life....
