Grayclaw ran aside the nursery and clawed and bit that badger until he ran off. He yowled with a victory screech.

Grayclaw stood there for a second and examined what had happened. He drew his breath and walked into the medicine den to be healed. "Hello anyone in here?" he asked when he walked in.
-
"One more to go!" Chaffstar yowled, throwing himself at it.
-
(ill be back in a bit)
-
Tigermoon raked the badger's muzzle.
-
The badger entered the nursery, its claws raking wildly. (Fast forward to badger dead.)
-
Tigermoon pounced on the badger.
-
Shadeflick was moaning. The badger was dead, but lieing beside it, also dead, lay Olivepelt, Wolfkit, and Harvestkit. Tears rolled down Shadeflick's muzzle, as he buried his nose in his mate's fur. Acornkit was mewling weakly, a scar across his eye and mouth.
-
Stormheart looked up and got startled to see him right there in her medicine den. She stumbled back words and knocked over a pile of herbs. "I'm sorry, I just got scared a little." she murmured. Stormheart felt a pang of embarrassment as she got up looking at the mess she caused.
-
Stormheart had a pang of guilt in her gut, "Hold on Grayclaw." Stormheart ran out of her den and saw something she knew that she couldn't have stopped.
-
Shadeflick was crying. Chaffstar had a stony look in his eyes, and had his tail stroking his brother's shuddering pelt.
-
Stormheart had cobewebs in her mouth and chervil leaves. She padded over to Acornkit and started putting the chervil leaves on his wounds wrapped with cobweb. She knew that he would need poppyseeds to sleep but he would need a queen for warmth tonight, but Stormheart knew that Tigermoon had just gotten out of the nursery. She would keep Acornkit in her den until he was ready to go back to the nursery.
-
"Chaffstar, I will keep Acornkit in my den until he is ready to go back to the nursery." she said as finished mending Acornkit. She then started to move over to check on Shadeflick and fix his wounds.
-
Grayclaw ran out after the gorgeous she cat to see what was wrong. To his shock we was horrified to see the dead cats body laying on the floor. She just had kits and know only one of them survived? He walked over to the poor kit and sat down by him putting his tail on his back.
-
Chaffstar nodded, choking up. Those kits, Olivepelt, had been his kin, as well as his clan mates. Shadeflick was too distraught to speak. When he could speak, he blurted out. "StarClan told her she would die, in a dream, but I took no notice..." He wailed. "They said she would take a cat's life, but the only life she took, was her own." He sobbed.
-
Grayclaw was shocked. He looked at the poor kit and felt bad for him.
-
Stormheart didn't want Acornkit to hear all of this, "Acornkit come on, lets go to the medicine den. I have an area were we can sleep and eat." she knew what the young kit felt, both of her parents had died in a forest fire trying to escape badgers. She felt tears rolling down her fur.
-
Acornkit mewed weakly. Twigpaw wrapped a cobweb around Acornkit's scratch. "I'm your uncle, little kit." He whispered. "Your mother was a good sister too me. Because of her, I decided to become the medicine cat's apprentice, instead of a warrior." Twigpaw's soothing quickly sent the kit to sleep.
-
"Stormheart I could help you with him, if you want." Grayclaw smiled at her warmly he then noticed tears rolling down her fur. He went up to her and wiped them off with his tail. "I will bring you both back fresh kill when im done hunting later." He then started to head out of camp to get more fresh kill and to clear his mind about what had just happened.
-
Startled by Grayclaw's action Stormheart went to the medicine den to check in on her apprentice and the kit.
