Extinction is forever, or so we thought. Ever see the movie Jurrassic Park? Where man plays God and recreates these extinct dinosaurs before ultimately the dinosaurs destroy the park and every in it? Yeah well no one really learned from it.
Technology was at its peak in 2034. Anything and everything was possible and humanity was prospering. However, there was a catch. With high demands for land for human development, there was no where left for animals to live. Everything just went, extinct. No one really cared at the time as it didn't affect people all too much and that meant more room for people. But still, there were a few die-hards out there who thought of humanity as a disease and that it should be their job to bring animals back.
Well that's what they did. They cloned them. At first it was rats and dogs of the sort before they got carried away. It didn't take long for them to start cloning bigger, rarer animals. They brought back the thylacine, quagga, passenger pigeon, and javan tiger among other things. Then they really got in over there heads when they started cloning dinosaurs. Soon, all these cloned animals { And more specifically large, carnivorous dinosaurs } got loose and reeked havoc all over the world.
People finally got what was coming to them is a way to put it. They became extinct, which for them will last forever...
Rules

~ Yes, you are allowed to have dinosaurs or any other extinct animal as a pet. However, you are only allowed to have one pet per character. ~
~ No large dinosaurs as pets. I don't want to see your character owning a T-Rex for several obvious reason. ~
~ You MUST have a human to sign up. The animal is option, the person is not. Comprende? ~
~ Keep genders even please. ~
~ The year should be somewhere subtle in your form. Don't put it in the other section. ~
~ No explicit romance. Kissing : Acceptable. Making out : Not too descriptive. No one wants to read about how your character stuck his tongue into her mouth. Sex scenes : Hell no. Take it off the thread by pming, fading, time skipping, whatever. I don't care what you do, just don't put it in your posts. ~

Maya is a rather intellectual girl who prefers to keep to herself. She's rather quiet and doesn't really talk unless talked to first. She'd much rather avoid trouble than engage it so when problems start arising, she'll do her best to keep away from it. She's not much of a fighter but she's a great hunter which is why her step-brother made her head hunter.
History ~
Maya was born in Germany were she lived there until she was 5. Then her mother met a college professor from America and it didn't take long until Maya and her mother moved to America at which point Maya met her future step-brother Brett. When Maya was 7 her mother and Brett's father got married and they lived happily for a while. Maya never really liked her step-father all too much but she absolutely adored Brett as she always wanted a brother. They were thick as blood and act as if they're flesh and blood siblings to this day. Well, soon Maya's mother got pregnant and she and Brett now had a little half-brother named Charles. It was happy for a while but when Maya was 11 Brett's father was murdered suddenly while he was at work. Brett was devastated, of course, but he still had Maya and Charlie so he wasn't as devastated as Maya's mother who fell into a spiraling depression. When Maya was 15, Maya was pulled out of class one day to be told her mother had passed away due to an overdose of sleeping pills. Thankfully, Brett was old enough to be their legal guardian at that point so they didn't have to go to a foster home. Then the apocalypse came and as they were fleeing town, Charles was trampled by a herd of startled Brontosaurus and died on the spot. Maya was devastated and considered killing herself like her mother did so she could see her family again and was close to doing it. The only thing that stopped her was a lonely, scared javan tiger cub. It reminded Maya of herself of how alone she was in the world before coming to the realization that she wasn't alone. She still had Brett and now the cub.

Brett is your average young adult. He's carefree and fun-loving but he's more responsible than he should be. At a young age he had to drop out of high school to get a full time job in order to care for his two younger siblings. Because of this, he's developed responsibility and leadership skills that have increased his maturity level ten fold. As well as this, he's also rather serious and lacks a sense of humor. If you screw up, he's not going to have any leniency and will treat you as he sees accordingly no matter what you have to say.
History ~
Brett was born in the United States with a little happy family. His family wasn't happy for long, however. When he was 8, his father went on a business trip to Germany and what did he come back with? Not a snow globe or a cool t-shirt, but people. He came back with his new girlfriend and Maya. His mother was devastated and it was obvious that Brett's father had every intention of his mother finding out as he also brought back divorce papers. His mother did not hesitate to leave and left Brett with his father, not wanting to see Brett's father's face again. Brett still didn't fully understand what was going on but all he knew was that his mother was leaving and a new woman was taking her place. He liked his new step-mother as he liked to make her speak those funny German words and she was exceptionally nice to him and would do all sorts of things with him and Maya while his father was at work. But he liked Maya more than he did his step-mother. He finally had a little sister and would spend all hours of the day playing with her. When he found out his father and Maya's mother were getting married, he was ecstatic and got to be his father's best man while Maya was the flower girl. When he was 10, Brett was practically filled with joy when he figured out Maya's mother was pregnant with his little half brother, Charles. Brett then took it upon himself to teach Charles all of his wisdom and he had never been happier. When he was 14, he got the worst news of his life that changed everything. Maya's mother was hesitant to tell him why she was crying but did manage to tell him that his father was dead. The next day, he read a newspaper article that his mother had shot his father and that his mother had no problem confessing to the crime. She wanted everyone to know how horrible of a person Brett's father was and that she didn't walk out of the relationship without the last word. Brett locked himself in his room and cried for three straight days without coming out of his room. On that third day he heard a small voice outside his door that asked, "Do you want to play big brother?" When he opened the door, he smiled when he realized it was Maya and Charlie with Barbie dolls and action figures. Brett, thinking he outgrew that, would have normally said no but he played with them all day and got over his father's death. Brett wasn't too badly affected at the time when he was 18 and Maya and Charlie's mother killed herself. He was OK at first before the grim reality of it set in. He was alone. He had no more parents and now he had to find a way to take care of Maya and Charlie or else they'll get separated and taken to a foster home. So, he dropped out of high school and got a job at McDonalds to pay the bills. When the apocalypse came he wasn't shocked but he was sure he had to get his siblings out of the city. He promised he would keep them safe although he failed with Charlie. Charlie was trampled by a herd of Brontosaurus and died right then and there. Brett blamed himself for the most part but wasn't suicidal like Maya. Instead, he became more determined to keep his sister safe. So he founded this group and somewhere along the way he adopted a thylacine cub that has been with him ever since.

Cobra was a cloned animal that managed to escape the labs after most humanity had already been destroyed. He was OK at first but grew rather hungry. One day he ran across a man skinning a killed deer and stalking close to him, he was pleased to figure out Brett was willing to share his kill.
Personality ~
Cobra is a little neurotic animal who can go from happy and playful to upset and aggressive in a second with no help needed. While he would never hunt a human as thylacine's normally hunt small animals and not large animals, he does not mind attacking a person he views as threatening and even on a few occasions he attacked Brett.

History ~
Leben, unlike his mother and father, wasn't a clone. When the animals started running loose, his mother took Leben and his siblings to the forest but somewhere along the way he got separated from them. Thankfully Maya found him and they've been inseparable since.
Personality ~
Leben is a gentle giant. Much to Maya's distaste, he would rarely kill even a prey animal. He's more playful and will often play fight with people and while strangers would consider this threatening, Maya knows he wouldn't hurt a fly.
