Sun seaped through Foxleap's closed eyelids, waking him up slowly. He stood up and stretched, his muscles ripling. With a yawn he padded out of the warriors den.
His fiery pelt flashed in the bright sun as he walked over to the apprentice den, sticking his head inside he scanned the den for his apprentice.
"Ruepaw." He whispered. "C'mon get up."
Her ears twitched and she rolled over so she wasn't facing him.
Foxleap padded into the den and over to the reluctant she-cat.

The dark she-cat scratched at her apponant, giving them a satisfieing slash across there shoulder. Her apponant stumbled backwards and Ruepaw took his falter for advantag, leaping upon the weary cat. He tried to shake her off, but the little apprentice was strong, and held on. She bit down on her apponants neck, retrieving a yowl of fiurry. He kicked and bucked, sending Ruepaw flying off. She hit the ground hard and moaned, her body feeling broken.
"Ruepaw. C'mon get up."
The voice seemed to be part of the dream. She got up and faced her attacker.
She lunged at him but he stepped aside, and with his tail nuged her on the shoulder; the dream began to fade.

Ruepaw woke up from her dream to see Foxleap standing over her.
"Finally." Her mentor mewed as he stepped away. "Take any longer to wake up next time and I'll just pour water on you instead. Get up we're going hunting."
Foxleap padded out of the den, leaving Ruepaw alone. The dark she-cat got up and slinked after him.
