Firesky and Leafheart

    Firesky stared at him. Was he leader now? She suddenly hoped that he wouldn't see Treestripe.
    Spottedstar nodded at Leafheart. "Prey is running well," he began. "And because of injuries, Firesky has joined the elders." Firesky crouched lower as all eyes turned to her. She shyly looked up to Leafheart. She and looked at Treestripe as he stepped closer and put his tail on her shoulder to calm her.

    Leafstar sighed. He waited while the other leaders gave their simple speeches on what was going on in their clans before he continued. "RiverClan has lots of fish in the river. We are eating well, and, as everyone knows, I am now the leader of RiverClan, as Otterstar has passed away." There were cheers for the new RiverClan leader, but also a moment of silence for the previous leader as well.

    IC: "The Gathering is over." As the leaders jumped down from the Great Rock, Firesky searched around for Leafstar. As she saw his brown pelt, she called out his name.

    Leafstar turned a little to face Firesky. "Hm..what is it?" Even as he looked on the she-cat that had almost been his mate, he couldn't help but feel a little tinge of regret. What if things had worked differently?
