"Alright." Redpaw meowed, watching his mentor disappear. He started to sniff the air, to catch a whiff of some prey.

Finally, Redpaw detected a scent. Squirrel! He thought. Redpaw could smell it, right behind the tree.
The reddish tabby apprentice dropped into a hunting crouch and quietly went closer, and closer, until he could see some red fur. -

Redpaw leaped and pounced on the squirrel. It tried to wriggle out, but Redpaw swiftly bit it at the back of it's spine, killing it. He lifted his prey in triumph.
