"ok then. first one to bring back five prey wins. ready...set..GO" he races off in one direction. as he passes larchpaw, he whispers "follow me"

LarchPaw fell in step with PinePaw, easily keeping up with his fast pace.

Squirrelnose and Daisypaw walked out into the forest. Daisypaw tasted the air.

Sunpaw protested. "Hey that isnt fair! You co-operate!" she yelled after them.

when they were far away, he turns arund and ask "do u really feel th same way"

"About you?" She asked "I DO like you PinePaw"

"Squirrelnose, I call the mouse bushes over there," Daisypaw whispered. She dropped into a crouch.

"i like you too larchpaw but i needed to be sure you felt the same way." he then pressed his nuzzle against hers.

Sunpaw gave up with a broken heart. Maybe they dont like me to play around with them, she thought, sad. She came back to the camp and as she was going to her den she heard her mentor's voice.
"Whats wrong, Sunpaw?" Mousefur asked as she stood in front of her.
"Nothing, nothing. Nothing important." Sunpaw answered her. Then she let out a deep sigh, her ears lowered.
Mousefur noticed that the other apprentices were not at the camp with Sunpaw so she understood. "Dont be sad because of others. Dont let them to hurt you." she said as she tapped her chest with her paw. "I know they like you but they needed to be alone for sure. Dont think like that." she added as she was trying to cheer her up.
Sunpaw didnt say anything and went to her den.
"Tomorrow, at Sunhigh, be ready. Im gonna teach you some new things." Mousefur yelled from her back.

Daisypaw dropped her tail. She padded forward slowly and pounced. She killed the mouse with a quick bite to the neck. Then, she inhaled again. Rabbit! She turned towards the scent and crouched, moving forward at the speed of a slug, making her steps light as a feather. She got as close as possible, then she pounced. She grabbed the rabbit between her paws and bit it's neck!
"Yes!" she exclaimed. She collected her mouse and rabbit and turned to Squirrelnose.
Squirrelnose nodded her head in approval. "Amazing job," she meowed.

She nuzzled him back "I really like you PinePaw, I do.." she purred.

"i'm glad" he said, wrapping his tail around her

LarchPaw felt small next to PinePaw, but it was also comfortable.

"what do you think others will say" he asked

LarchPaw tilted her head smiling "Who cares" she mewed happily.

"again, your right" he licked her head and watched the sun set.

"I`m always right" LarchPaw mewed happily, "we should go back to camp before someone comes looking"

"once again, ur right. we'll meet up tonight" he asked.

Squirrelnose caught a thrush and a mouse, then the cats collected their kill and beaded back to camp.
"Wait, before we go back, catch a bird," Squirrelnose told Daisypaw.
"Okay!" Daisypaw mewled!
She tasted the air. She smelled chaffinch over by a large tree. She stalked over and pounced, catching the bird between her paws just as it took flight. She killed it with a bite to the neck. She collected the rest of her kill happily and trotted back to camp with Squirrelnose.
The cats deposited their kill on the FKP. Squirrelnose turned to Daisypaw.
"Be ready at sunhigh tomorrow. I want you to hunt some more," Squirrelnose told Daisypaw. She padded over to a senior warrior to eat with them.
"Kay," Daisypaw called after her. She was excited! She was hoping this was her final assessment before becoming a warrior! She took some fresh kill to the elders and trotted over to the other apprentices.
"Hi guys!" she mewled.
