    LarchPaw stretched as she padded out of the apprentice den, it was her first time sleeping in the den and she was extremely excited to start training. Her mentor HawkTalon wasn't up yet so LarchPaw decided to wait for the Dawn Patrol.

    The deputy entered the den.
    "It is time for the Dawn patrol!" he meowed.

    LarchPaw bounded over to the Deputy (lets just call him BrackenPelt) "May I come too" she mewed to BrackenPelt.


    BrackenPelt nodded his head before heading over to the entrance to the gorse tunnel.

    "larchpaw, we also have Stripepaw, her mentor Blackfur, and your mentor on this patrol. I want you on the ShadowClan border. More activity has been over there lately."
    Stripepaw nooded obediently and followed her mentor across the territory.

    Larch bounded after them obediently. She was much smaller than a normal apprentice but she was much faster than most cats even as warriors.

    "Wow, Larchpaw, you're fast. That's amazing. it's like Starclan gave you powers."

    Laughs, "its just because I`m smaller. And I doubt StarClan gave me anything" she mewed with a smile, her eyes faded for a second with sadness but then right back to a bright bleu.

    " My mother has been telling me things like that for a while." She added.

    " You are welcome. My mother always had something to tell me when we were in the nursery." Stripepaw meowed.

    " She was Spottedflower, she died a little bit before I left the nursery because of a ShadowClan cat named Twigclaw. I wish she lived to see me become apprenticed." Her eyes dimmed with sadness and she bowed her head.

    "Its ok I kind of get it" LarchPaw mewed "My mom died when I was a little kit, she was and my siblings all drowned as she tried to cross a river but someone found me before I drowned luckily"
