  • This guy is a little too weird for my taste... Or I'm just being paranoid.. "Uh.. Well, alright then, Ren... I'll head over to Mr. Frost's right away.." She reached down and grabbed her bag and sketch book and pencil. "It was really nice meeting you."

  • "Yay! You called me Ren!" He exclaimed. His actions halted when Nila said she was going to see Mr Frost. "Eh? You're just going to leave me here all by myself?" He asked, pouting. It was an act but a very good one at that. "That's not very nice? What if someone attacks me or if someone does that to you?"
He sniffed a little, for effect.

  • Nila looked at him with a raised eyebrow at the act he was laying out. Sighing with roll of the eyes she gave an effort of a half smile, "You are such a ham. You can come a long I guess if you really want to.." I could write a book about this guy, Nila mused.

  • "Ham? Yuck!" Rem objected. "Can't girls make up nicer things to say to guys? I mean, we're all human." The way he said 'human' sounded odd, as if the word was from another language.
"And Mr Frost is busy with Zero, it would be rude to interrupt. I'm sure they have some important things to talk about, none of which have a thing to do with you." His tone had changed to a less nice one but a smile stayed on his face.

  • Nila frowned a bit and looked away from Rem, "Well apparently I don't belong anywhere anyways, I'm use to staying out of the way and in the background." She sighed with some acceptance, that is just how things are. Shaking her head she looked forward to class since lunch was about to end any second now, "What's your next class?" Changing the subject.

  • Rem sighed and bopped Nila on the nose gently. "Nothing wrong with being on the sidelines for a bit. We can't all be stars." To cheer her up, a thought crossed his mind. "Oh, my next class is drama but anyway..."
He took off his dark sunglasses to reveal green eyes (well one since the other was covered by his side-fringe). "-do you believe in magic?"

OOC~ Gah, I start school again on Thursday *dies*

  • On break or something? Or ending summer for you Australians?)

"M-magic?" Nila stuttered to see if she heard that correctly. What's he going to do, pull flowers from his coat or something? "I can't really say I do... Why do you ask?"

  • OOC~ It's hard to explain since school for us is different from other places. We have 4 terms in each year for school. After one term (which is around 10 weeks) we get a small break. After the fourth term, we get a huge break! So today is my last day of the huge break and tomorrow, I will be starting my 1st term back at school (which I'm dreading).

    IC~
Rem toyed with the glasses in his hands and grinned in a mysterious way, as if he had a secret to tell. "So you don't believe in magic? Hmm, I would have thought that someone like you would... You seem like the type."
His green eyes locked onto her's and a mischievous look was on his face. "Want to see some magic? It won't hurt, I promise."

  • OOC: So exactly like it is in the Americas XD

IC: Feeling hesitant she looked at Rem with uncertainty. Sure, she's seen all sorts of weird stuff in the past, things she couldn't explain that caused her to move so many times but she never considered it like magic. "Uh... O-okay..." Her eyes were intrusting and locked on what Rem might do.

  • OOC~ Eh? I thought that people in America have huge breaks for summer (and winter I think)? We don't get those which sucks :P

    IC~
As if her words were the trigger, Rem's eyes suddenly flashed and changed into a purple-colour. He crushed his sunnies in his hand and cupped the remains with both hands. "Magic tricks are good and all but real magic is way better than that knock-off shows!"
He blew into his hands and suddenly opened them to reveal a little black raven sitting quite comfortably in them.
"Hmm... This magic is supposed to reveal what troubles you. A raven like this could mean anything. If it were a crow instead then that would mean death but it isn't..."
His eyes were still purple and looked rather shiny, not like normal eyes.

  • OOC: Yeah well our president is striving to diminish the number of summer vacation days so we're ending later and starting sooner. :/ but it's mostly summer. They're just screwing up and changing a lot of things this past year so I can't say much what's going on

IC: Nila flinched with the change in the irises, How did he do that?! Seeing the raven in his hands she was astonished by the illusion. When you explained the fortune reading trick Nila sighed knowing exactly what the raven represented. She shook her head at that thought, You don't need them. They don't need you and don't want you. Waste of space. "How did you do that?" She was mesmerized by the purple in his eyes

  • OOC~ Our government is a jerk, that's all I know. School days stay mostly the stay though my school decided to get rid of going home early on Wednesdays for lower grades which sucks! I think I get to next year though. I hate my school since they recently brought in a policy so that you can't have your phone out at breaks or even just iPods! Does your school have days where you don't have to go if it snows? A friend of mine who lives in America recently got some days off because of the snow.

    IC~
Rem grinned showing his teeth. Two sharp fangs visible from under his upper lip. "Try to guess. I love it when people try and comprehend the 'impossible made possible'." He said, breaking eye-contact with the girl for safety purposes. "Ugh, sorry. I may or may not have hypnotised you by accident. Sometimes I barely notice when I'm doing it. Just like a curse, I guess."
He looked around and then held the raven out to Nila. "Take it. Once it is in your hands then it might change to show what is in your heart. Not everyone can make it change but you seem... special in a sense."

OOC~ You can pick what the raven turns into of course! Maybe a dove to show goodness or, a type of coloured crystal, a charm, doll, anything! :D

  • OOC: Well I've heard of it.. But I live in the desert state and we never get snow XD So I wouldn't know. But recently in the northern states they've been getting some serious snow and a lot of jobs are closing due to the intense weather. But no ipods or fun on free time what the heck? Australia intense O.O Also, that wednesday thing, that's interesting we have that. Didn't know other continents had early out- or use to have early out Wednesdays. Interesting

IC: (Oh my gosh i can do anything!!! So much power... In my hands.... Literally!) Nila flinched a bit with the fangs, instantly feeling instinctive to run, having enough of this 'magic' but she stayed. She didn't know why, maybe because she got good vibes from the guy or his weird-ass idea that he hypnotized her, who knows? Feeling more cautious this time Nila backed up an inch from the strange person. Opening her mouth to reach some excuse the bell rang through out the campus. Relief flooded her as her escape had sang through the earth. But curiosity was nipping at her. With a shaky hand she hesitantly put her hand out to accept the raven. When placed at the palm of her hand she felt it slightly burn in her hand but she remained silent as the form changed into a dark slithery figure: a San Diego Nightsake. It's brown spots decorating a lighter, dusty grey/brown skin. Nila looked at it curiously in wonder why a snake... (Hint: one of the symbolic meanings for snakes is Occult Knowledge)

  • OOC~ It never snows where I live, only in certain parts of Australia. It would be cool to see the snow though! I think that it's just my high school that has the no phone or iPod policy which sucks! Sometimes I wish I didn't have to go to a religious school since I hate all the rules but the school has good stuff in it (though I still wish I could get homeschooled).
Haha, I love hearing about how different schools are in different places! :) I just started the first term of school this year and I already want to leave!

    IC~ (Haha! >:D)
Rem watched Nila with an amused smile. Humans were just so fascinating! He cherished all their funny values and reactions. It was a nice change from the non-humans.
He didn't react to the bell, he didn't mind. If he was ever late to close then he could just hypnotise everyone though, that was kind of a misuse of his gift.
Upon seeing that the raven turned into some kind of snake, Rem was surprised. He was expecting something fluffy or with feathers. Maybe even an object.
"I'm a little shocked but then again, you have an odd scent and an even odder aura. It's very conflicted, I can see all this dark colours coming off you like ribbons."
He had many abilities and most of them could be used with his eyes, his real eyes which were showing now. The green eyes were fake but his purple ones were real.
"A snake could mean anything not to mention that sometimes the type of snake matters. I am no expert on snakes, it isn't my scene. But, I could name a few things that the snake could mean if you like?"

  • Being weirded out already Nila shook her head, "No that's okay... Maybe another time.." She handed the snake back to him before rushing off to class, her golden hair bouncing behind her with each step. When she got to her class she took a seat by a window in the back, wishing this day would just end already. The Science teacher looked at Nila with a curious look but waited for the late bell to ring before gathering the students' attention.

OOC: Religious school eh? Well that might explain it. But that's cool :)

  • OOC~ Do you go to a religious school? My parents are not religious at all but the best schools around where I live are religious (which is super boring because of having to prayer and doing dumb stuff). The thing I hate most about my school is having to do 'bonding' activities with other students. Lame!

    IC~
Rem watched her go and looked at the snake before saying to it, "Humans are very weird." The snake didn't say anything since it was just a snake. All it did was stare blankly at him. "Oh don't look at me like that! Just turn back already!"
With a puff of black smoke, the snake turned into his sunnies and he put them on. His eyes had yet to change back into their 'fakes'.
Briefly, Rem wondered if he should go look for the guy that had been with Nila before. Rem wasn't stupid, he knew what that boy was but had yet to discover if he had any special abilities or what his ideals were.

Zero sighed when he walked out of the school gates. Great, he had to start work even more earlier than expected. This was starting to bug him. Who would protect Raven and stop him from getting into trouble? It was unfair to get Nila to do it due to how mean Raven had been to her earlier.

Raven watched Zero leave from the roof. Though they were 'friends', Zero had never told him what his 'job' even was. It was always the same when Raven asked, the subject was always dodged.
    'Whatever. Better get to class.'
He went back inside and walked through the school halls alone. Maybe he should just skip class for now? He was in no mood for it.

  • OOC: Oh no.... BONDING! dun Dun DUN! But I don't go to a religious school, though I am Catholic. I go to a university High school actually... Most of the time we only pray we don't fail our classes and don't pass out in class from lack of sleep. So fun...

IC: Danny was walking in the halls as Raven was. Spotting him he smirked. Danny quickened his pace a little to be a bit to Raven's side, "Someone looks like they're in a bad mood. But who can blame you? The world is full of idiots that expect you to please them."

  • OOC: Trust me, bonding stuff sucks! And I'm not Catholic or any of the other ones. I don't follow any religion and prefer my own beliefs. :) I have trouble sleeping so it's hard for me to focus in class. I think I came close to falling asleep in Maths once though...

    IC~
Raven almost jumped when Danny was suddenly next to him since he had been so stuck in thought to even notice his footsteps before.
"Creeper." He muttered before fully snapping out of his musings. "You are right about the idiots part. If only they could all just drop dead." Whether he meant what he was saying was even unclear to himself. Maybe the world would be better if all those who were stupid were to die? "Anyway, what do you want?" There was venom in his voice but only from his foul mood. It was getting worse.

  • Danny chuckled and looked at Raven, "Well it seems to me like they never learn. The way everyone keeps throwing themselves to your attention; they just never get the message... But you know... There is a way that you can show them you mean business... A way to.. Make the naive see the error of their ways. And it can be done in a few simple steps." He looked at the ceiling while they walked as if he were slipping a twenty under the table and not making eye contact.

  • 'Don't trust him.' He immediately thought. Mentally, he was fighting with his conscience. 'What am I thinking? I can't even trust myself.'
    'Don't say it.'
"Ok... I'm listening. What do you have in mind?"
'Damn. This will not end well.'
Raven's cool, blue eyes flickered to Danny before back to looking at what they were going. Briefly, he felt that something was wrong but he ignored it. His conscience was warning him but he chose not to listen. Everyone had that little voice in their heads that tried to stop them from doing something bad but it was not easy to listen to and easy to drown out.
