  • "Well I have a tendency of getting into things that aren't my business..." Nila sighed under her breath. The image of the drug dealing gangster jock that had threatened her when she first moved into the neighborhood. She remembered when she was walking into her half sister's room one night to find that their biological father beat her. Nila had gotten out of there before he spotted the witness but it was hell for both of them as they begged for someone to stop this cruelty going on. Soon enough Nila would step in for her younger sister Kylie to receive the beatings to spare the poor 6 year old from any more damage when ever she had her visiting weekends. This went on for a couple months until Nila's teachers noticed her always wearing long sleeves and feeling uncomfortable when her father picked her up from school on Fridays. Another moment was when Nila had heard a preteen had been harassed in an ally way by these schmucks and she had boldly told them to stop... After that Nila kept to her self and never talked much after that to anyone. She was only 15 when she lost her innocence. But she did not regret it one bit to save that poor 12 year old. The fiddling of her necklace continued in nervousness, but if Raven was in need of help she was hesitant but she wouldn't leave him... She hardly noticed it but Nila was trembling as she was sucked into thought.

  • "Well, I guess if you can't help getting into bad situations then you should always make sure to have a friend beside you to help you out. It's better not to face things alone, you know!" He smiled here reassuringly. "And-" He noticed her shaking at that moment, now that his full attention was directed at her. "Hey, are you ok? We can always meet up with Raven later. Let's go to the nurse's office!"
His concern for others is what normally got him into trouble. He worried too much over others and usually never took into account his own physical state. If he was injured then he would ignore the pain in order to help someone else.

At that moment, his phone began to buzz. Thankfully it was only a text message and not a phone call. "Oh, what now? This is the worse possible time to get a mission." Zero mumbled before he got his phone out and read the text. His eyebrows furrowed and he put his phone back into his pocket. He had a mission straight after school and he could not be late for it. That left no time to change his bandages.
"Come on Nila, let's go. You're shaking so we should get the nurse to check you out."

  • Startled by his sudden attention shift she noticed her trembling just a bit, "What? Oh, n-no I'm fine, Zero. Really." Nila barely detected his mumble as he observed his text message, "Is something wrong?" Something in Zero's face she could tell he would be bolting soon for some mysterious emergency. "I guess you have to go...? I'll stay here with Raven while you deal with... WHat ever it is you need to do."

  • Zero sighed and shook his head. "No, I can stay. I have work right after school though which won't be fun. I thought that today and tonight I would get a day off to catch up on sleep." He didn't look tired at first glance but if one were to look closer then dark circles were under his eyes though they were hardly noticeable.
"My job has been pretty tough lately and my grandma sometimes needs help at home. She's the only family I have so I want to help her the best I can. That's hard to do when I'm working all the time though..."
His grandma was literally the only family he had left. The rest were all dead or had gone into hiding.

"If you are sure that you are ok then let's go to Raven. You don't seem fine though. Is something wrong? I can keep secrets and I'm a pretty open-minded person." That he was. He kept an open mind about many things.

  • Nila nodded in understanding, still have a few questions what his job might be, but maybe in another time. "I'm alright, I promise." Not wanting to talk about her problems anymore she preceded to meet up with Raven. What kind of things does he even think about? Why is Raven so... dour?

  • Zero looked at the girl in a concerned way but went with her, nonetheless. It wouldn't be right to force her into talking about something.

Raven was sitting at the edge of the building with his legs dangling off of the side. A charm on his phone jingled as he clicked on the buttons, playing a game. The charm was of a black cat with a little bell inside it.
"What?" He asked, not even turning around or bothering to.
He could hear footsteps and he didn't seem to care who it was for the moment.
"We just... came to check on you..." Zero murmured.

  • Raven's 'what' instantly reduced Nila's confidence. "I-I'm sorry if I'm being a nuisance.. I just was wondering where you stayed at lunch since I d-didn't see you around... Zero t-told me you usually came up here." Her voice faltered at the end; She felt like the whole idea of seeing Raven was just a huge mistake and felt like she should just go before she made herself look more like an idiot or stalker.

Sory for not replying for so long. I was going to along time ago but someone cut me off.

  • OOC~ It's ok! I hardly ever go on this site anymore anyway! Have you heard of this RP website called Xanje? It's much like this one minus most of the cat stuff. It's a pretty good site! :)

    IC~
"You are both equal nuisances." Raven retorted, his back still facing them. He wasn't in a very good mood but there didn't seem to be any reason as to why. "But as to answer your question, I've been up here the whole time."
He put his phone away and got up and walked over to the two, a blank look on his face and he showed no emotion. "Look, just because I'm helping you settle in here, it doesn't make us friends. The only reason why I'm even being 'nice' is because Zero wanted to me too and even that is going to far. To put is in simpler terms; I don't need you."
Zero glanced at Nila, seeing what she would do or say. He hoped that she wasn't too hurt by Raven's words and would cry. He considered her as a friend but Raven was not the same as him and was very cautious.

OOC~ Aww, Raven is mean! Being his friend is not easy at all. ::)

  • One side of Nila's brain snapped with a lashing come back, I didn't say you needed me, hot shot. Not everything is about you. Thinking before she spoke she exhaled her anxiety and frustration, "I didn't say you needed me... There was just no where to go at lunch. I never expected you to care in the first place," I'm not that stupid. Nila tried hard not to glare up at the cold teen and tried to find her patient side. She looked at him at his cold eyes and said in a slightly defeated tone, "But I get it, I'm sorry to have bothered you..." Glancing at Zero she sighed, "Thanks for everything anyways." With that she walked out through the exit down the stairs. Back to square one...

  • Raven rolled his eyes and muttered, "Stupid girl." before turning back around to look at the view.
"Nila! Please come back!" Zero exclaimed and then he turned to Raven. "Why does it always end like this? You shield everyone from you and people keep getting hurt."
The dark-haired teen didn't reply or make any movement to show that he was listening.
"It's 'that' isn't it?" Zero asked. "Your 'darkness' keeps coming back. It might consume you if you keep this up." And with that, Zero left to go after Nila. What gave Raven the right to be so cold even if his 'condition' added to it?

After Zero left, Raven looked at his hands. Black smoke was coming out of them and a vile taste was in his mouth. His darkness was getting stronger and he wouldn't be able to stop it once it took hold. Keeping people away was best, to protect them from what he would become.

  • Nila had disappeared to sitting under the bleachers with a notebook and a pencil her hand to try and draw away her thoughts like she usually did. She was sketching an empty room with and hole broken in the wall with an unthinkable darkness leaking through the cracks with eyes that looked cold and deadly looking from the other side. The drawing gave her a chill down her spine of how real it looked but then sensed someone behind her; Danny. "That's some drawing you got there, what is it suppose to be?" His cocky ice blue eyes danced with evil as he stood over her.
Nila flinched with the surprise visitor, "What do you want?"
"You looked down, so I wanted to see if I could... Assist in your emotional instability." He showed a sly smile.
"I don't need your crummy help..." She said, looking away from Danny.
"We're partners aren't we? Why not get to know each other on more... Formal terms, you could say."
Snake was all Nila could think of when looking at the dark individual, "Look, I'm fine and I don't need any of your help... No use in wasting your time with me." She sighed in some sorrow.
Danny raised an eyebrow in interest, "Oh I see, You don't trust me... That's understandable, I have that impression on people." He grinned devilishly then showed an expression of sincerity, "But of course you understand what I mean... After all you seem more like the anti social type." Danny offered his hand to Nila to help her to her feet, causing her to give him a suspicious look before slowly accepting the hand to get up.

  • Zero looked around the school but he could not find Nila anywhere. Maybe he was looking in the wrong places?
Just as he was about to head to the gym, a hand on his shoulder stopped him. For a second, his entire body froze before he relaxed, hearing a familiar voice. "Where are you going in such a rush?" Turning around, Zero sighed to see that it was just Mr Frost, that quirky science teacher.
    "Just looking for a friend."
    "And Raven?"
"Eh... Not in a good mood..."
The teacher sighed and nodded in understanding. "I get it. He's your best friend, right? Don't let it get to you. Still, I have some things to discus with you. Are you willing to hear what I have to say?"
"Sure... Though I was looking for Nila..."
"Don't worry, I'll get another student onto that. He's new too."

'Hmm, so this is Nila?' A teen thought, a picture in his hand. Mr Frost had assigned him to find her for some guy named Zero. 'Cute, in a way.'
The teenager wore sunnies and had a side-fringe. His hair was black and tinted with blue slightly. A star-pendent rested around his neck and his skin was rather pale.
He searched around with his keen eyes and soon found a match. This 'Nila' girl seemed to be under the bleachers with a guy. Was he her boyfriend or something?
    'How adorable.'
The teen stuffed the picture in his pocket and made his way over. "Am I interrupting? If I am then I'm sorry, it is quite rude of me." He called to them, a quirky smile on his face.

    OOC~ Introducing a new character!

  • OOC: I approve

IC: Nila was obviously startled by the new voice, feeling rather trapped under the bleachers with the growing audience. Danny looked back at the new student with a cocky scoff, "No, not at all." He looked back at Nila with that sly smile of his, "I'll see you around Nila, I would love to talk to you a little more..." Holding her hand gently he kissed the back of her hand in a bow-like gesture and walked away, leaving Nila in utter confusion. What the hell??? Seeing him walk off Nila remembered she was being watched, "Oh, um, uh who are you?"

  • OOC~ He's a new character of mine and I'm still developing his personality and stuff like that. :)

    IC~
The teen grinned at the boy's display of 'affection' for the girl. Really, he thought it was quite fascinating. His shaded eyes watched the boy leave before his attention settled on 'Nila'.
"Me?" He put put a finger to his lips and smiled. "Why I am Shu-rem, but just call me Rem. Sometimes people misplace the 'm' for an 'n' but I don't mind. Rem or Ren, you can pick which name to call me."
Rem got the photo out of his pocket and showed it to Nila. "This is you, right? Some people have twins so, just making sure. I have to say though, my twin looks nothing like me. Poor dear goes to a different school though, such a shame." He sighed in an over-dramatic fashion and put an arm to his forehead for effect. "Fate just split me and him apart, oh how cruel."

  • OOC: XD nice drama king you got there

Nila looked at the picture in surprise, "Um, where did you get this, Rem...? Why were you looking for me?" This guy has to be in theatrical arts or something... Damsel in distress is spot on. Confusion filled Nila's head: Raven's sudden bitter snap at her-not really unexpected, Danny's sudden appearance and... Creepy sincerity exit, and now this guy. And then it started to rain chocolate milk from the tears of Cupid or something along those lines...

  • OOC~ Thanks! He's usually a little drama-queen though it's mostly to bug/annoy people or for a laugh! :)

    IC~
"Isn't it obvious?" Rem asked, closing in on her space until their noses were nearly touching. "I'm a stalkerrrrr..." He said it in such a creepy voice, like he actually meant that he was legit stalking her.
After waiting a few seconds, he drew away from her and smiled in a quirky way. "Just kidding! You are a cute girl though so I could see why you would be stalked. I heard that lot's of people around here do that." He covered his mouth as if he had said something wrong. "Opps! I just told you something I shouldn't have! Mr Frost would be so mad!"
The smile was still on his face though.

  • Nila's eyes widened a bit with the creepy notation and backed up a step. When he moved away in the relieving gesture Nila sighed a bit with a small relieved smile, "Um, th-thank you?" She had no idea how to respond to this guy, he definitely wasn't like everyone around here... But he was funny, she had to give him that. "M-Mr. Frost sent you?" nila looked at him with confusion.

  • "Yeah! You know Zero, right? Mr Frost told me to find you since Zero was busy with other things so here I am." He grinned and did a twirl. "I'm just as good-looking as Zero, right?"
He actually had drama as a subject and he had always been good at acting, singing and being the centre of attention. Despite all this, he was surprisingly smart.
"Oh! Who was that guy earlier? I'm guessing that he wasn't your boyfriend. I can just tell. It's like I can tell who is with who!"

  • "You sure you're not a stalker then...?" Nila raised an eyebrow at Rem. Thinking about how she had just left Zero and Raven seemed rather rude but she knew she wasn't welcomed around them... "And no, Danny is anything but that... I have no idea what that was about in the first place... So you're new right? I guess not like me since you seem familiar with Zero and Mr. Frost."

  • "Well, I can't deny that I have stalked people before but food is food." He told her, not bothered at all. "Getting stalked is fun though! Like, you try and run but sometimes you get to a dead-end and then bang! Cameras everywhere!"
Rem was not like most people, that was for sure.
"But you need a reason to stalk someone and I have none for you, despite how adorable you are! And so that was Danny? I've heard of him here and there."
He adjusted his shades over his eyes before answering her last question. "New, just like you. Though I know Zero but not personally. And everyone knows Mr Frost..."
He never stopped smiling for a second. Did he ever frown? Didn't seem like it.
