  • moonpaw just became an apprentice but sadly her mentor died in a battle not long ago so the leader needs 2 give her a new one

  • Sure!

    Name: Galestep
    Gender: Female
    Age: 27 moons
    Appearance:

Family: Fennelstalk (mom; missing), Ambereyes (dad; elder), Silentpaw (sister; missing), Soldierflight (mate; not my character), Shadowpaw (adopted kit; apprentice)
Personality: Galestep is gentle and soft-spoken around most cats, but laughs easily, despite rarely making jokes herself. While she's taught another apprentice before, she is still unused to being in a leadership role, and tries harder than anything to meet/exceed what is expected of her. She is loath to raise her voice, for fear of becoming like her own mentor.
Galestep values honesty and loyalty, though her loyalty to friends is greater than that to her Clan. She hates being lied to, and tries to be honest all the time, though she often will lie if she perceives it to be for the good of her friends.
Galestep is very trusting in others, even cats she's known for just a little while. While this makes it easy for her to make friends, it also lets others take advantage of her. Also, she considers herself to be a coward, since she'll almost invariably back off, should others start getting aggressive.
Skills: A strong swimmer, but an average fighter and hunter. Has no skills with medicine. She is keenly aware when cats are upset, but has trouble seeing relationships, like who-likes-who or who-hates-who.
About me: I try to get online every day, and consider myself Semi- to Advanced.

  • Ok just wanted to see to make a better rp
Moonpaw sat at the leaders den to annouce her new mentor
    Ooc:can u be the leader

  • (Okay.)

The leader came out of his den. The tom cleared his throat and addressed the young cat before him.
"Moonpaw. I would like to introduce you to your new mentor: Galestep."
A marbled blue tabby emerged from the shadows behind him, her blue eyes taking in her new charge. They travelled up and down Moonpaw, assessing her, then the older she-cat smiled and dipped her head in greeting.
The appropriate ceremony took place, a small affair right there and then, and the leader left them. It was good they kept the transfer quiet, thought Galestep. She hadn't been looking forward to seeing in front of a massive crowd.

  • ''well what sandfoot had taught me was the border and swimming but im still working on it'' she said happily

ooc: sandfoot was her first mentor

  • The underbrush rustled slightly as the pair made their way down to the river. A small flurry of butterflies flapped in Galestep's stomach, making her feel apprehensive. Was she really ready to take on another apprentice? The first had been one giant fiasco …
No. No one could have predicted that. I had nothing to do with what happened. And it wasn't that bad, right? It's not like someone *died*.
The warrior took a deep breath and breathed in the cool, clean air wafting from the river. That always worked to calm her. Galestep waded slowly into the shallow end of the river, letting the water soak her soft underbelly.
"Alright Moonpaw, are you ready to learn some new tricks?" she asked.

  • "I assume you already know how to keep your head above water, so I'll teach you how to hold your breath and traverse the trickier parts of the river, maybe even how to dive like an otter." Galestep said. The water was doing it's work; she was already feeling much more relaxed about the whole teaching thing.
She paddled out to where the water closed in around her neck, then caught her breath as icy water leaked through her thick, water-repellent coat and onto her skin.
"Alright. I want you to swim out, not to here, but to where the water is about this high on your neck." Galestep explained. "Then I'm asking you to plunge your head under the water. I want to see how long you can hold your breath."

  • Moonpaw over to where galestep has told her and put her head under waterit stayed that way 4 5 sec. For it was her first time

  • "Excellent, you're a natural!" Galestep praised Moonpaw. "I want you to keep practicing, on your own time. Now, how about you swim out here, and we'll make a quick trip downriver? Careful, there are mild rapids up ahead."
Galestep backpaddled in the current to slow her drifting, though she was still being carried downriver. "Let's go!"

  • "How're you doing back there?" Galestep asked, looking over her shoulder. "If these currentS get too strong for you, just say so, and I'll help."
The water grew more and more turbulent, forcing Galestep to paddled harder.

  • A piece of waterweed swirled up from the depths below and snagged on Galestep's paw. A brief look of panic flitted across her face befire she realized what it was grabbing her paw. Fighting to stay above the surface, the gray warrior finally yanked her paw free.
"We're almost to the bank. There'll be a perfect spot to train just around the bend," she informed Moonpaw.
